England is a part of Great Britain which is larger part of the United Kingdom
Great Britain is made up of England, Wales, and Scotland
The United Kingdom is the inclusion of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
England is about the size of the US State of Alabama

This large population of Indian/Pakistani people has added to the culture
English food has added Indian/Pakistani cuisine as part of the macroculture

Pubs (Public Houses) large part of English culture
English families socialize, eat, and relax at pubs

Transportation
Public Transit is commonly used in not only the cities but suburban areas as well
Trains are an important part of transit inside England and out to the other counties and neighboring countries
Buses called Double Deckers are popular in urban areas
The subway or Tubes are also a popular mode of transit for English people
Language
English is the primary language for England English used in a traditional sense compared
to Americanized English Commonly referred to the “Queen’s/King’s
English” Still have common slang terms
Food
English food tends to be more simple, hearty fare consisting of meats, simple grains, aged cheeses and potatoes
Dynamic cuisine as the Empire grew over history elements from other cultures would be added into the main stream.
Most popular current dish is actually curry
Meats: fish, beef, lamb, pork and chicken
Simple sauces and puddings (not just sweet pudding)
Cuisine originally from England tends to stay traditional
Government
England is under the United Kingdom which is a Parliamentary democracy
Has constitutional Monarch as Head of State but has no real power
Bicameral legislature broken down into:
House of Commons: elected officials who create and debate laws
House of Lords: inherited family titles who double check new laws to make sure they are fair and will work
House of Commons led by Prime Minister who is true head of government for the UK
Conclusion
England is a very dynamic culture that adapts well to changes throughout history
Though dynamic, history and tradition are important to the English people
English culture has very much influenced culture here in the United States
English culture tends to be more progressive toward cultural change and integration
