JOP DUTIES: To improve welding efficiency and the upgrading of the welders, this department
analyzes and evaluates welders’ performance. The department has established more than 50 welding procedure qualification records for different materials and combinations with a wide range of thicknesses. Arabian Bemco has a well-established welders training and certification centre to overcome the anticipated shortage of welders in different projects. In order to meet its operational requirements, this training centre imparts theoretical and practical training that upgrades the skills of semi-skilled welders to those of fully-qualified welders and develops qualified welders into multi-skilled welders.
To manage and motivate QA/QC as well as construction welding team. To manage the site welding operations by preparing welding documents and giving
technical training in the field of welding and fabrication to the projects in accordance with company procedures, international Codes and Standards and Project specific requirements.

JOP DUTIES:
Phase A - - Initial Review
1. Review purchase order, Codes, etc... & drawings. 2. Develop all necessary Inspection Plan/s. 3. Check welding procedures; welder status. 4. Establish inspection documentation system. 5. Publish non-conforming product ID system. 6. Create a job corrective action program.
Phase B - - Pre - welding Checks
1. Check suitability, condition of welding equipment. 2. Check conformance of base and filler materials. 3. Check the positioning of members and of joints. 4. Check joint preparation, fit-up, cleanliness. 5. Check adequacy of alignment maintenance. 6. Check preheat (or initial) temperature.Phase C - - In-process Inspections
1. Check compliance with WPS provisions. 2. Check quality, placement of key weld passes. 3. Check welds bead sequencing and placement. 4. Check interpass temperature and cleaning. 5. Check adequacy of back gouging. 6. Monitor any specified in-process NDE.
Phase D - - Post welding Activities18
1. Check finished weld appearance, soundness. 2. Check weld sizes and dimensions. 3. Check dimensional accuracy of weldment. 4. Carry out or monitor/evaluate specified NDE. 5. Monitor any PWHT or other post-weld work. 6. Final Dimensional check and final visual check according to Client specs. , Drawings, AWS D 1.1 & ASME B31.3. 7. Finalize and collate Inspection documents.

Brief Description of Responsibilities: 1- Witness the process of pipe Industry as follows:
Rolling the plates on the three roll machine. Edge milling machine. Internal welding machine (SAW). External welding machine (SAW). Visual inspection on the weld. Repair area. First step of NDT (UT & RT). Expander machine for the straightness of the pipes. Hydrostatic test machine
- Pipe No. - test pressure. - holding time. Second step of NDT (UT & RT). Magnetic particle machine.
End beveling machine to the final Inspection.
2-Witness the hot Bend Industry Process Hot bend machine which working by Induction heating
and Rapid cooling . Heat treatment of these Hot Bend In Gas Final Bogie Hearth
Furnace. Visual surface Inspection (Internal & External) & Dimension check
of these hot bends as follows: -Thickness by ultrasonic instrument. - Ovality. - Outside diameter by tabe. - Bend Radius. - Total length. - Bend Angle. - Passing BIG.

- End Beveling. - MT & UT on the Hot Bend for residual stressed areas.
3- Witness the Real Time station area (Radiographic area) .
- Processing of Films. - Interpretation of all standard films.
All according to API 5L.
