Editing, modelling and analysis in railway freight transport

EMAN supports creating a long- and medium-term plans for railway freight undertakings. It uses a clearly arranged graphic environment and built-in optimization methods.

Product characteristicsIn its graphic environment, EMAN allows to create many variants of transport technology of individual types of consignment to the level of handling areas based on detailed data about the infrastructure. The results and impacts of editing train composition are instantly viewable, analysable, and can be compared with data about consignment flows from the transport flow archive. Automatic processes for assigning relation trains to relations of an marshalling table, operating trains to collection and delivery (routing), and a whole variety of checks and tests are an important tool. The system includes tools for defining switching wagons from train to train in each location including tools for compiling train contents. The result is a complex resource database of a time table and a single wagon loads system plan for other systems (operational management, system for booking, time table of freight transport, international connections, systems for managing works with marshalling yards, etc.).

In its graphic environment, to create many variants of transport technology of individual types of consignment from each origin station to each destination based on detailed data about the infrastructure. The results of works and possible impacts can be instantly viewable and analysable with data about consignment flows from the transport flow archive. The basis for systematic working over a train composition design is clearly interconnected variety of data (data base) related to the rail transport technology and its planning with easy and comfortable switching between tools. The mightiest tool are automatic processes of assigning long-distance trains to relations of a marshalling table, local trains to definition of collection and delivery (routing) and whole variety of checks and tests. The system includes tools for defining switching wagons from train to train in each transport point as well as tools for compiling train contents. Key benefit also lies in the system of checking data consistency in each module even in the global context. Functions for arranging and filtering data in tables based on their values, or exporting into XLS format tables are also very useful. The result is complex data of a railway freight undertaking plan for other systems.

For RU's managementthe option of accurate tracking and real-time assessment of the single wagon loads system depending on the completeness of available information, easier identification of weak spots and subsequent option to take countermeasures, or to optimize the train composition system, compare the plan to reality. For RU's customerslink to searching connection - accurate search of connection for consignment transport from a concrete origin place to its designated place of delivery including connection identification and the time of transport. For transport planningcreating a model of a train composition system in a network environment, creating individual trains, assigning relations and wagon groups to a train, infrastructure capacity booking and requesting paths directly from EMAN, planning train composition during infrastructure restrictions (traffic closures, exceptions). For RU's employeesaccess to current data about single wagon loads system (single wagon loads system tools), link to turning locomotives, engine and train crews (capacity planning), resources for analysis (e.g. wagon flows).
