Did you know that the 10th Oct is World Mental Health Day? The statistics say that 1 in 4 people in the UK will have some kind of mental illness every year, so if we were to look around the playground at pick up, that’s a lot of people we know that are struggling. Mental health is not just about illness and having a diagnosis. We all need to look after our wellbeing, and give ourselves the time and resources we need to achieve our goals. Our focus for our fundraising this last year has been to raise money to support the Nurture Hut, a space where the school children can get some individual attention, as it says above, not just for children with specific conditions, but for everyone and anyone who needs a little space and support to improve their wellbeing. We’re very excited that the Hut has arrived and is well on it’s way to completion and so we’re asking everyone to celebrate World Mental Health Day on the 10th October and support our fundraising by ...

BEING SEEN WEARING GREEN!

‘MESSY DUCKS’ WITH A DIFFERENCE!WEDNESDAY 31 OCTOBER 2019.

ALL SAINTS EVE.

4.00-5.30PMIN ST BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH IN

DUCKLINGTON

Come and join with us to share the light of Jesus this Halloween. Crafts, activities and music for everyone.

"In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind." John 1:4

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHILDREN ALONG AND STAY WITH THEM DURING THE SESSION. A LIGHT TEA IS AVAILABLE AND HOT DRINKS WILL ALSO BE SERVED.Just a reminder:

‘Messy Ducks’ is:A form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It meets at a time (and sometimes in a place) that suits people who don't necessarily belong to church. It typically includes a welcome, a creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a sit-down meal together at tables. It's fun. It's a church for people at all stages of their faith journey and of any age It models and promotes good ways of growing as a family: a nuclear family, an extended family, and a global and local church family. Its aim is to introduce Jesus, to give an opportunity to encounter him and to grow closer to him.

WE REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AND BEING CREATIVE TOGETHER.Please note our next ‘Messy Ducks’ session will be on Saturday 7 December 2.30-4.00pm. This session will be held in church again.
