Don McCoy of Exit Realty
Don has been piloting key marketing and networking op-portunities in Southern Oregon for nearly 25 years. Some of his projects include producing the New Products Show and the Senior Show for 6 years, and putting on the Oregon Green Expo since 2009. Don was the found-er of SOTA, the Southern Oregon Trade Assoc ia t ion , a fl ourishing trade asso-ciation which hosted over 3,000 members and thrived in our local com-munity for over 10 years, be-coming one of the top 20 larg-est trade asso-ciations in the U.S. He originated and ran the Jacksonville Gold Mine Tour, which featured the Oregon
Belle Mine. Also, Don was a radio talk show host (“The Real McCoy”) for 5 years on KCMX Super News Talk Radio. Don has been a Realtor for the past 13 years, was the top producing agent in his offi ce at Exit Realty Group for 3 years running, and was in the top 2%
of agents in the Rogue Valley for many years. As the areas fi rst EcoBroker and Earth Advantage trained
real estate agent, his passion for quality high-performance homes in both new construc-tion and in remodeling has led to his special expertise in help-ing communities focus on de-veloping sustainable design and living on the local and regional level as well. Don has gone on to receive additional training in building science, energy, and environ-mental issues directly related to various real estate transac-tions, in both the residential and the commercial areas of the marketplace. He completed numerous educational opportu-nities through USGBC LEED for Homes, Energy Star presen-tations for Contractors & Ar-chitects, and a State of Oregon Building Code class including the High Performance Homes presentation.
