Social Media Management

Building excitement during live events for a social media post is an effective way to connect events with a web presence. In the example below, the campaign total announcement was produced for social

media during the live event.

Provided social media support and live photography for the largest HBCU football game in the country.

Utilizing Instagram during this live awards show helped to build the

anticipation of the audience--shotting multiple photos and creating a

slideshow. It also added original content to the platform that could not be easily

duplicated by another outlet.

Taking advantage of a live, captive audience and a popular name is

important for the success of hashtags. Being strategic about

mentions allows focus on building the audience, while also providing content that they would most like

to see.

Encouraging attendees to take selfies during events, pressing the use of your

official hashtag, can lead to epic moments like this. These moments add to the reach of your hashtag and branding

message.

Twitter Town Halls can expand your reach and increase followers. This event reached

over 2 million on Twitter and included partners from outside and within the social justice and education profession. Including

entertainers can allow your message to reach an expanded audience and expose

them to your brand. EOne Entertainment is utilized to obtain talent for Twitter Town

Halls and other online programming.

Google Hangout on Air programming can be a lasting resource, engage your audience in conversation, and build partnerships. These Hangouts were hosted with celebrity guest MC Lyte to promote an awards show and discuss artists being active in their communities.

The following example was produced with U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Burwell, used as a

health resource for mobile viewers and broadcasted through closed circuit television.

A collaboration with PBS for a series of Google Hangouts were produced. It was a perfect connection.

Finding other media/partners with similar goals are intricate to the success of social media/online platforms.

Utilizing social media to send your branding message is important. Also, forging healthy interactions with the audience is important for community

building.

Incorporating unique hashtags into a campaign can lead to more interactions with the audience. Complementing this campaign with a

contest encouraged engagement in the example above by 50%.

This social media campaign is a two-part effort to educate and encourage the public to act. Project managed a video that included web video profiles

that allowed the audience to build a personal connection to the campaign. They were allowed to

join in by sharing their own stories on a special web page and using the hashtag #BornSuspect.

The social media campaign included a series of memes that shared the details of the issue and increase engagement.

and brochures.

These sites are managed through the Blue State Digital content management system, Expression Engine. Duties include curating content,

blogs and site maintenance.

These sites operate utilizing Wordpress CMS, posts are syndicated to social networks via Networked Blogs. Google analytics and Facebook

comments are also integrated into the websites.

SmartURL provides up to the minute tracking of clicks. This service is utilized todetermine if campaign tactics are effective. Determining campaign success early

allows for troubleshooting and better results in the future.

Google Analytics are used to determine if a website is being effective in contentcreation, which may lead to better SEO ranking. Google shortlinks are not used

because they are recognized as spam by Facebook and some email carriers.
