• Does not fund investment but shares certain expenses for activities to assess prospective investment prior to committing funds, and/or to enhance developmental impact of investments and qualified professional services contracts

• Non-refundable contributions follow four stages of project life cycle:PHASE OBJECTIVE CONTENT

Commercial Viability Confirm the commercial and technical viability of a proposed investment

Market analysis; technical feasibility; legal-regulatory requirements, commercial viability

DemonstrationDemonstrate benefits /costs of introducing a technology or methodology, as part of an investment

Revise or adapt technology to meet new developing market needs; pilot demonstration of technology

SustainabilityAssess the environmental and social impact, and develop plans to mitigate/ improve the sustainability of the investment

Environmental and social impact assessments and mitigation plan;

Human resources and training plan; and Local supply chain study
