DECISION OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE ON RULES OF PROCEDURRE AND PRIVILEGES
Subject:
A meeting of the Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure & Privileges was held on 15th October, 2020 at Parliament House, Islamabad whereby the Committee noticed that due to the non-cooperation of public servants, the Members of Parliament are not shown respect and regard which is required for due
performance of their duties as representatives of the people.
2. The Committee unanimously has decided that failing to attend the telephone calls and failing to take immediate action to redress the grievances of the people of their Constituencies by public servants, would be considered a serious breach of privilege of the Members of National Assembly.
3. The committee also decided that the compliance made by the public servants well in time would be highly appreciated otherwise strict action would be taken against the concerned.
