Along with my experience in Health Education and Health Promotion, I have a Master of Science degree in Public Health Education and Promotion, and a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have more than fifteen years’ experience in health care administration, education, and training.
I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings such as long term care facilities, hospitals, and also as a government contractor in a school’s research and education programs, responsible for creating and implementing health education programs for the general public, as well as targeting at-risk populations. I also have conducted staff health screenings, designed healthy workplace programs, taught group classes on health topics and trained medical staff on how to communicate with patients. Additionally, I have prepared presentations, conducted health screenings and patient outreach, and served as point of contact for patients are typical duties.
Throughout my career I have obtained many certifications and attended advanced training programs including:
Risk Management Certification Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement Certification Case Management Specialty Certification Member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and more.
Additionally, I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing, in both English and Arabic. I am also well versed in both cultures. I believe my education credentials, work ethic, background, and ability to communicate with people of many diversities, makes me a desirable and qualified candidate for the Public Health Educator position.
