Novo Nordisk

CHALLENGE

To develop 2 sizes of disposable insulin pens, and to develop manufacturing technology for mass production. Develop and build automatic assembly machines.

SOLUTION

World’s first pre-filled disposable insulin pens (1,5 ml and 3 ml sizes). NovoLet® won the "ID Price" in 1990 and was awarded ”the world’s best plastic product” in 1993 in NESTE’s international plastic competition. Product development, manu-facturing technology and automatic assembly machines were designed and build in parallel in 16 months. In the following months a further 5 assembly systems were build. Up until 2010, more than 1.5 billion pens were produced. Patented design.

A.P. Moller-Maersk

CHALLENGE

To dramatically improve the productivity of drilling rigs and drill ships.

SOLUTION

The technology for dual activity drilling was developed and patented. A dramatic time saving of 25-30% of drilling time is gained by moving a number of activities from the drilling hole to a preparation hole – the so-called FOXHOLE®. The preparation activities on the FOXHOLE® is performed in parallel to the activities on the traditional drilling hole. The patented technology has become the de facto industry standard and several hundred drilling rigs have been build according to the patent (Inventor: Thomas Lund).

CLIENT

Gate Gourmet

CHALLENGE

To develop a production system for sorting of flight catering tableware and garbage for efficient washing.

SOLUTION

The ”Stripping System” is a 35 m long production system that sorts all flight catering tableware and garbage coming from an aircraft. Emphasis has been put on good working conditions, easy cleaning, operational effectivity, minimal maintenance and small footprint. The system is patented. We have designed, manufactured and erected 19 stripping lines at flight kitchens in London, Geneva, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Manila, Perth, Copenhagen, Billund, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Atlanta.

AIRBUS

CHALLENGE

To develop a new generation aircraft galley with reduced foot print and weight as well as better ergonomics and stylish look.

SOLUTION

SPICE (Space Innovative Catering Equipment) is a high-tech, sturdy kitchen system, with major advances in weight savings (1800 kg), space efficiency (11 extra seats) and crew usability. Our main effort have been on detailed design of 1) Transfer Table 2) Sliding Doors , and 3) Foldable Trolley. All 3 are patented world wide. We have manufactured and delivered 2 sets of prototype galleys. Received the "Crystal Cabin Award" in 2007. The prototypes are in test in a wide body aircraft mock-up with 90 passengers.

Bang & Olufsen

CHALLENGE

To develop a never seen before feature on an audio system for a luxury car.

SOLUTION

An acoustic lens based treble speaker that can move up from the dashboard when the sound system is turned on. Special designed mechanical gear wheels and transmission parts secures a silent movement and build-in overload protection. A number of prototypes were built and delivered to Audi for testing and approval for the Audi A8. Audi was launch customer for Bang & Olufsen for their new automotive division.

CHALLENGE

To develop an ultra compact portable and scalable sewage treatment system.

SOLUTION

BioBooster is a compact, portable and scalable water purifying plant based on bacteria on rotating composite discs with continuous regeneration. BioBooster has transferred all necessary technology into an industrial product and packed the whole process in containers, so the system becomes a component in line with e.g. an emergency power plant. We carried out the concept development and designed and tested the first prototypes. BioBooster was awarded with "Danish Product Award 2007“.

CLIENT

TRACKMAN

CHALLENGE

To assist TRACKMAN - a start-up company with a business man and a dobbler radar specialist - on a business idea to track an ordinary golf ball and present screen data of the ball flight on site in the field.

SOLUTION

An easy to move and set up unit based on dobbler radar technology and with display of ball flight data. We did all the mechanical design including the automatic leveling system, the housing and the radar window. Further we manufactured the first 60 systems in our workshop. TRACKMAN has set the industry standard and is now a very profitable company.

ADEPT Water Technologies

CHALLENGE

To develop a new technology for water disinfection without the use of chemicals.

SOLUTION

We developed and designed the BacTerminator product line of water disinfection systems. The systems are based on a patented electro-chemical technology that converts the naturally occurring salt in water into biocides. The biocides create a powerful disinfecting effect without affecting the water quality. The systems cut costs by making it possible to reuse water and to improve water quality, water hygiene and the working environment. We manufactured the first 18 systems in our workshop and assisted Adept with erection and service.

CHALLENGE

To take GRUNDFOS from nothing to the world leader in dosing pumps.

SOLUTION

We developed a ground-breaking digital concept based on a new drive unit and 9 new features valuable to the customer including higher accuracy and easy setting. Full product line from 0,075 l/h to 940 l/h. A total of more than 50 variants. Our contract included mechanical and electrical design, software and styling as well as manufacturing technology and tooling for mass production. We manufactured a large number of prototypes for extensive lab and field test with a large range of chemicals.

CHALLENGE

To develop a digital controlled system for urea dosing into the exhaust of a diesel engine to reduce NOx emission.

SOLUTION

The dosing system is a key component in an overall system which significantly reduces the toxic NOx particles from diesel engines' exhaust gas with the use of urea. The high precision dosing of the urea makes up to 95% NOx-reduction possible. We manufactured a large number of prototypes in our workshop for field test by engine manufactu-rers such as: Daimler, Cummins, IVECO, Mercedes-Benz, DAF, Caterpillar and MAN. The product has received a number of international awards.

To develop a full line of next generation SCR Systems for NOx-reduction on large diesel engines in marine applications.

SOLUTION

Typical SCR systems are air-assisted in atomising urea into the exhaust gas. DANSK TEKNOLOGI is the only manufacturer to deliver the patented airless BLUNOX® SCR systems. Unique BLUNOX® features: • No need for

To bring NOx-emission from 6 patrol vessels with older MTU engines below IMO 2016 level.

SOLUTION

CHALLENGE

To retrofit SCR System on existing CAT engine on Norwegian Bulk Carrier.

SOLUTION

BLUNOX SCR System retrofitted on "M/V Norholm“. Results: • Project received

75% funding of investment from Norwegian NOx Fund.

• BLUNOX® SCR system certified by Norwegian NOx Fund and vessel now exempt from Norwegian NOx Tax.

• NOx-reduction up to 95% (weighted average: 92.5%).

• Compressor and exhaust gas mixer is eliminated.

• Very low back-pressure: 72 mm WG (7.2 mbar).

• Existing silencer substituted by BLUNOX® catalyst housing.

Malene S

CHALLENGE

To equip trawler with SCR Systems on MaK and Cummins engines.

SOLUTION

BLUNOX® SCR Systems on Marlene S new build in Turkey. Malene S is a state-of-the-art combined trawler and purse seiner. Both engines on the 80 meter ship is equipped with BLUNOX® SCR Systems in order to minimise NOx pollution. NOx reduction is better than 90%. No separate silencers are installed.

MAERSK Drilling

CHALLENGE

To design and manufacture a NOx-reduction system for one of the worlds largest Jack-up Drilling Rigs, and erect it off-shore while the rig is in operation. Meeting high NOx-reduction, a very harsh environ-ment, frequent engine load changes and very short down-time of engines during erection.

SOLUTION

Two SCR towers which each holds 2x BLUNOX SCR catalyst systems with Digital Airless Multipoint® technology for fast and precise urea dosing and injection. 98% NOx-reduction. 3 days of engine down-time during erection. 6 x urea tanks (7.500 l) in 10” container frame. The first off-shore SCR system ever in operation. World wide.
