Jade Dolman is a visual ar+st and remains connected to her
culture through pain+ng and family. She has a passion for making
a change through art for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
Her purpose is to highlight that all land is tradi+onal country
which her ancestors have prac+ced culture on for thousands of
years. Her murals and public art are a contemporary con+nua+on
of tradi+onal culture.
J.D. Penangke is an Aboriginal-owned business run by Jade. The
name J.D. Penangke comes from Jade Dolman's ini+als and
Penangke (pronounced pen-ung-gah) is her skin name which she
inherited from her Father's line. Jade is a Whadjuk/Balladong
Nyoongar (Mother's side), Eastern Arrernte (Father's side) woman
from Perth.
At this workshop Jade will share aspects of her culture and
conduct an art workshop, that involves pain+ng on rocks and
wooden discs. Join us for a very enlightening and crea+ve session
with Jade.
