A few thoughts from

Bob Donaldson

Do you remember fireflies? They could be seen on summer nights flashing their lights like little ships far out at sea. Do you remember catching them in a jar? Were you amazed at them blinking just for you? Well, actually they are members of the beetle family and are just communicating messages to one another. There are over 200 different kinds of 'lightning bugs' around the world and even though they speak different 'lightning languages', the purpose is the same. They are trying to attract one another.God is kinda like that with us. The Bible says that He sent His son, Jesus to earth as a light, so that we would be attracted to Him (John 1:9). How does Jesus do that? First through His love for everyone (John 3:16). Then His promise of eternal life (John 14:1-3). In this eternal life, we as believers, will not only be heirs of God, but also joint-heirs with Jesus, with the promise of sharing in His glory (Romans 8:17). Sharing in His glory? Who wouldn't want that? These are just a few examples of how God attracts us. The Bible is filled with thousands of promises that we will experience as Christians. Can you see the Light? Are you attracted to it? Bob Donaldson.
