EASTER EGG HUNTth

The April 20 children's Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. Children found eggs, bounced in the bounce house and even the Easter Bunny came to visit. Prizes were given for the most eggs in each age group and a special prize for the golden egg. The children received ice cream popsicle, candy bags, and Pucker Powder popcorn balls. Spring was in the air at the rec hall here at Clarcona Resort on ththe morning of April 13 from 8-10 AM. The activities

committee held their April breakfast feast of French Toast Casserole, sausage, coffee, orange juice and water. Linda Mathis did an awesome job on the French Toast Casserole! Thanks to the ladies from the Activities committee that are always there to lend a helping hand. We had about 25 residents present to have breakfast with us, and of course Alfred & Hazel (shown below) came out of their corner to greet all. By Linda Patterson

Did you ever in your life see as much pollen as we had this Spring? And all the leaves coming down like rain! Did you notice how God provided the wind to blow it all off the trees, making room for the development and growth of new leaves and new fruit pods? And the cycle continues. Co-incidence? I don't think so. He really does, as the song goes, have the whole world in His hands. He's made provisions for everything to come into perfect union with His will. By the way, that includes us. The biggest difference between us and the rest of the world's creation is that God saw fit to give human beings the ability to reason, not only amongst ourselves, but also with God (Isaiah 1:18). That makes sense because we were created in His image (Gen. 1:27) and one day, as His children, we will inherit His glory (Rom. 8:17) and spend eternity in a place called Heaven! There will be no tears, no pain, no sorrow and no death (Rev.21:14). Wouldn't you like to be a part of that inheritance? It's not automatic, but it is available to anyone. We talk about all of these things and more on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 in the Rec. Hall.

If you come by, I'll give you a free ticket to Heaven, with NO strings attached. Everyone is welcome. Oh, by the way…hope to see you at the free lunch the first Sunday of each month in the Rec Hall. Bob Donaldson

PET NEWS

DO YOU WANT TO MAKE

YOUR PET A STAR?

If you would like to make your pet a star please submit a brief write up about your dog, cat, rabbit, snake, turtle, etc. and a small photo or two to [email protected] no later than the 20th of any month. Your story will be added to a monthly addition of The Gazette as space permits.

This small Kitten showed up on my porch one day at feeding time she went along side my other cats. Not known if this kitten was a boy or girl so for now I'll call her “little bit” she was very small and very frighten and hungry so I sat back and let her eat. The next day there she was again waiting there alongside with the other cats so I reached out and started to pet her little by little she let me while she was eating. As a few days went by she knew where the food was and showed up every day. I could see my Valentine cat who also was a newcomer took her under his wing he played with her cleaned her really took care of her. As time went on I was able to get closer and closer where I could pet her even when she wasn't eating. Every day was better and better. She would let me pet her even pick her up, and then when she and Valentine would play she would be upside down that is when I was able to see this pretty Kitten was a baby girl. So we named her BarbaraAn she knows her name and comes when called. So I had some appointments with TNR C.A.R.E and took her along with 6 others from the park, she was a little trouper. We kept her in a large cage in the house for a few days. She really did wonderful. Of course Valentine was feeling sorry for her and was trying to break her out, but we couldn't for fear he may hurt her by playing. Soon she was eating using her kitty litter and we look to make sure her tummy was doing well and yes it was. So Valentine had his little girlfriend back to wash and play with. So now a few weeks later she is here to stay, she comes in and out and is beautiful.. Thank you to the great program CARE. You all care so much.

A powdered compound made from pig bladders couldhold the key to regenerating human limbs. In a testcase from 2005, a man who had accidentally severedoff his fingertip was able to regrow it entirely in fourweeks.

The U.S. Army is researching human limb regeneration, b/c of it’s potential to help soldiers who have lost limbs in battle.
