¡ The new CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing has been designed and developed to give you exactly what marketers’want:

• a flexible approachwith courses delivered in ‘bite-sized’chunks

• a qualification title that clearly demonstrates your area of expertise

• a qualification which equips you with the theory and skills required to work in a marketing role at a tactical level

¡ To gain the qualification, you will need to study two mandatory modules (Strategic Marketing and Marketing Metrics) and one elective module (either Digital Strategy or Driving Innovation). It is the choice of this elective which will determine the title of the qualification that you receive from CIM.

¡ So if you choose the Digital Strategy option, your qualification title will be:

CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Digital Strategy)

¡ If you choose the Customer Experience option, your qualification will be:

CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Driving Innovation)

¡ If, at a later date, you pass the fourth module, you can ask CIM to renew your Certificate with the alternative qualification title.

CIM Diplomain Professional Marketing Modules

l Strategic Marketing (Mandatory)

Assessed by a three-hour exam a pre prepared marketing plan, topics include:• Techniques for assessing the external and internal environments• A detailed look at the marketing planning process• Managing resources• Monitoring and measurement techniques

l Marketing Metrics (Mandatory)

Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include:• Dealing with market challenges by taking a visionary approach and embedding

innovation• Achieving solutions through marketing and entrepreneurship • Factors in building nurturing innovation• Using appropriate data sources and employing appropriate analytical tools

l Driving Innovation (Elective)

Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include:• How to enhance the customer experience• Assessing customer expectation and delivering activities to meet those

expectations• Customer experience frameworks• Supporting a culture of innovation and in implementing change programme

l Digital Strategy (Elective)

Assessed by a 12-page work based assignment, topics include:• Implementing digital marketing capabilities into marketing planning• The impact of the disruptive digital landscape in delivering objectives• Responding to market needs with a digital marketing mix• Managing digital channels and application of digital measures

l It is possible to complete one of the above modules as a stand-alone course, upon which and individual award can be achieved.

Course Delivery and Assessment

¡ Delivery

l The CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing is offered via a part-time evening delivery (6.15pm – 9pm) or a part-time Saturday delivery (10am – 4pm).

l The course is structured in 12 week blocks per module – there will be a blend of taught sessions, webinars, videos and 121 tutorials. This enables you to complete the whole programme in ten months.

l We deliver modules in isolation and DO NOT recommend studying more than one module at a time, especially if candidates are in full time employment.

¡ Assessment

l A variety of assessment methodology is used for this Level 6 qualification – multiple choice exam, work based assignment and portfolio.

l CIM have three exam boards a year; early April, late June, early December

l Candidates must achieve a pass or higher in each unit to complete the whole qualification. Pass: 50-59%; Merit: 60-69%; Distinction: 70-100%. Grading will be applied to the overall qualification too.

l We deliver modules in isolation and DO NOT recommend studying more than one module at a time, especially if candidates are in full time employment

l Support included for assignment and portfolio based modules includes one half hour 121 with tutor and written feedback on one draft assignment/portfolio before final submission.

(Please note this facility is for self funding candidates only)

Instalments commence the month after the deposit has been received.

Once we are in receipt of your deposit, your booking will be fully processed enabling you to receive Joining Instructions, access your Online Learning Portal and benefit from TMF membership such as 30% TfL discount, NUS etc

There is a £12 administration charge for this facility, but we do not charge any interest on your monthly instalments. Please note it is essential that payments are made on the 1st of each month.

We ask that you set up a Standing Order with your bank to ensure payments are made on the 1st of the month to avoid any late payment charges. You can easily set up a standing order via online banking or calling your bank to arrange. Please e-mail a screen shot or evidence that the standing order has been set up. (On rare occasions payments may arrive a day late should there is a bank holiday, proof a standing order has been set up will avoid any late payment fees).

¡ How do I book? – Please go to www.themarketersforum.co.uk and complete the online booking form

¡ What are the entry requirements for the CIM Diploma?You can register to do the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing with any degree qualification, or a minimum of three years marketing experience.

¡ You can register for the course at The Marketers’ Forum anytime before the course commences. On average places are limited to 15 per class so it is advisable to book as soon as possible.

¡ What if I am being Sponsored by my employer? If you have a sponsor for your course we can arrange for the invoice to be forwarded directly to them. Payment is required within 14 days or the start of the course whichever is sooner.

¡ Does TMF offer an Interest Free Payment Plan?If you are self-funding we require a non-refundable deposit of approximately £200 upon submitting an online booking form and then the remaining course fees will be split into six equal monthly instalments. There is a £12 admin charge for this service and penalties will be applied for late payment of instalments.

¡ What if I want to cancel once I’ve started? Courses are like airplane tickets, once it has started, your seat cannot be resold. However, in special circumstances (such as family bereavements), allowances can be made at the discretion of the Course Director. You can choose to defer your course if necessary. However, you can defer any course before it has commenced 14 days before the course starts.
