The Professional Diploma Programme in Advanced Nursing Practice (Management and Leadership) is designed to prepare senior nurses, ward supervisors and clinical nurse specialists who have obtained Bachelor Degree to become capable nurse leaders and managers. To be awarded with the professional diploma, the participant has to complete the programme requirements and pass the assessments as stipulated in the programme outline.

Programme Information

Master of Nursing Programme • A two-year part-time clinically-based programme to

develop the knowledge and competence required in advanced nursing practice.

• To prepare registered nurses to advance their career in the management stream, the Programme offers an intensive theoretical teaching and problem-based learning experience in clinical leadership, health service management, quality improvement and health outcome evaluation.(NURS 6035 / NURS 6034)

Doctor of Nursing Programme • A four-year part-time clinically-based programme

to broaden the clinical, managerial and academic expertise of Master’s prepared registered nurses to lead the complex health care system.

• To prepare registered nurses to take up the leadership in health care, the Programme provides strong theoretical input and overseas practical experience in advanced nursing leadership, healthcare management and policy, human resources and financial management, and health care system planning. (NURS 7134 / NURS 6114/ NURS7150)

Tuition Fee

HK$4,000 for each moduleHK$22,000 for the whole programme (subject to adjustment)

Advanced Standing

Graduates of this programme will be eligible to apply for exemption up to 3 courses (total 9 units), subject to the Graduate School’s approval, in the Master of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing programmes offered by the Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK.
