There are some principal methods of delivery1. IMPROMPTU SPEECHES =>On the spur of the moment.
2. MANUSCRIPT SPEECHES =>Completely written out in advance. it has a number of
disadvantages: Reduces eye contact, Reading a speech, has difficulty in changing the language
Manuscript speech effectively, have suggestions:1) Type your speech in capital letters2) Edit your speech 3) Indicate places4) Practice your manuscript5) Facial expression and body action

3. MEMORIZED SPEECHES => written out as a manuscript speech and then committed to memory. It
has a number weakness:1) It takes an inordinate amount2) Skillful actor to deliver memorized material3) Memorized speech the risk of forgetting4) Difficult to change
4.EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECHES => carefully prepared in advance.
5. NONVERBAL COMMUNICATIONIncludes almost everything about you that communicates something to
others except for the language you use.e.g:the car you drive,the clothes you wear,your hairstyle.
6. KINESICS=>the study of how the body, face,and eyes communicate.

7. PARALANGUAGE=>how you say something. Communicate different types of emotions:
anger, sadness, elation, boredom, sincerity, excitement, sarcasm, affection, fear, and so on.
Vocal elements-rate-pause-volume-pitch-quality Articulation=>process of forming the consonant and vowel sounds of words.

These sounds are molded into language by the five articulators: Lips Teeth Tongue Hard palate Soft palate
Pronunciation=> Saying a word the way it should be said. There are several
characteristics of our language that make the task even harder.1) Sometimes a letter in a word is silent2) An inordinate number of ways to pronounce the same vowel in our
language3) Correct pronunciation requires knowing how to accent words4) Regional differences in pronunciation
