The curriculum adheres to the Georgia Standards of Excellence, and teachers utilize best instructional strategies to meet the needs of all student learners. Programs such as Saxon Phonics, iReady Reading, and envision are utilized to enhance instruction and provide a strong foundation of literacy and number sense. Additionally, students experience hands-on learning in the school’s STEAM lab and in the school gardens. Technology is utilized in every classroom. Teachers and students have access to an Interactive Promethean Board, document cameras, and laptops in every classroom. Instructional technology includes Classworks, BrainPop, and IXL along with a range of other educational programs to engage 21st century thinkers and learners. Achievement. Character. Responsibility.

Beyond the Classroom

Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of clubs and activities that are meant to enrich the instructional program and impart important life skills such as leadership, citizenship, and community service. Teachers volunteer to serve as instructors, mentors, and role models for a variety of extracurricular activities. Not only do these clubs give students additional learning opportunities, but they also provide invaluable experiences as goodwill ambassadors of our school community through service and representation. Clubs such as Chorus, Art, and Roadrunners afford students an additional avenue for participation in preferred, enjoyable activities while developing essential social skills through positive peer interactions.
