Billeting
Billeting is one of the highlights of Junior Carnival — meeting new friends, getting to know them and literally "living" together for a week.
Every participant from Perth will be hosting at least 2 billets.
A number of participants have pre-arranged billet families.
Perth have informed us that they may not be able to meet all billeting requests (for those requesting to be billeted with friends).
Billeting
Families will be notified 2-3 days before the start of carnival as to who their host is. This will give you time to make contact with them, to thank them and to discuss any important issues, if any, relating to your child.
We will not be swapping billet families once they have been decided, unless there is a safety or security issue of some type. This can only be done after speaking to the Victorian Team Managers.
Billeting
It is a nice idea for participants to take a small gift for billet families which they can give to the family as a thankyou at the end of Carnival.
Security and Health
The security and health of all participants during carnival is our number one priority. Security will be provided at all venues by CSG.
We will have first aid at all sports and social venues.
We have a list of recommended Physiotherapists, General Practitioners and Specialists that will be given to host families.
It is imperative that all medical conditions are declared on the registration form. All information is kept in strict confidence.
Security and Health
Every carnival participant will be given a photo ID tag and this must be worn around their necks on the lanyard provided at all times for easy identification
No participant and their billets are to catch any public transport, taxis, ubers, or accept rides from unauthorised persons for the duration of Carnival.
