Capturing Images 1. Open a NEW Word document and then do the following: 2. Type your class period, name, and email attachment (Example: 5 Anne Page email attachment) and then press Enter 3. Go to Google and type Maps in the search bar. 4. Click on Google Maps. 5. Type in Gum Wall Post Alley, Seattle, WA. 6. On the dropdown under the search bar, click on Street View. 7. On your Tool Bar at the bottom of your screen, click on your word document. 8. In your word document, click on the Insert tab. 9. In the Illustrations grouping, click on Screenshots and select Screen Clipping from the drop down menu. This will take you back to the gum wall page and fade it out. 10. Use the crosshairs to create a box around the gum wall on the page. It will automatically pop up in your document. 11. While the image is selected, click on Picture Tools tab and change the Height on the right side of the ribbon to 2.5 inches. 12. Press the End key on your keyboard and then press Enter 13. You are now ready to search for your next picture in Google 14. In Google Maps, search for your address. 15. Paste a 2.5 inch high picture of your house under the picture of the gum wall. If you cannot get a street view picture, use a satellite view picture. 16. Press the End key on your keyboard and then press Enter 17. Do an image search by clicking on Images along the top of the Google Page. 18. Find a picture of a knight that you like and click on it to blow it up. 19. Right click on it.

1. Open a NEW Word document and then do the following:

Email an Attachment

1. Logging into Davis District E-mail Open Internet Explorer Click on My DSD (Figure 1)

Enter your Student ID (Lunch number) in the Username Box

Enter your PIN in the Password Box

3. This will take you to your grades. In the grades window, click on your email address in the top left corner of the screen. (Figure 3)

4. Login using your computer login followed by @go.dsdmail.net

5. Use your PIN number for your password

6. Click on Outlook at the top of the page.

7. Click on “new mail” in the top left corner (Figure 5) Figure 5

8. In the To box, enter Mrs. Page’s 9. e-mail address

[email protected] the Subject box type in the

number for your class period followed by Email AttachmentEXAMPLE:5 email attachment

11.Click on Insert (it looks like a paper clip at the bottom of the message window.)

13.Select your H: drive in the left window

14.Find the your document you created at the beginning of this assignment and click Open (Figure 7)
