Bailey to form The Greatest Show On Earth. This 5 week theatre camp culminates with the presen- tation of a top quality musical complete with costumes, lights, sound, set and a live orchestra. This award winning, nationally recognized camp helps create a passion for the arts by developing a theatrical experience that your child will never forget. New! Canvases can be purchased at the Oak View Center for all Art classes. We have 2 sizes available. 11x14 canvases will be available for $5, and 16x20 canvases will be $7. Please note: Canvases can only be purchased during Oak View front desk office hours.

Open Art (Age: 18 & up) All materials supplied, except if you choose to work on canvas. Explore and expand your artistic side this summer. Bring an idea, share an idea, get inspired by others & prepare to have fun! This is a class for self-ex-pression and experimental media work. Use pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, acrylic, watercolor, ink, tempera paints (we do not work in oils), or with air-dry clay and create your own unique art! Instruction on medi-um usage provided. This is not a step-by-step, pre-determined project class, however, you will be given individual instruction in a group environment on the medium you choose. Project ideas and selection are student's choice. This is a great opportunity to meet others who are interested in learning or reviving their artistic interests. Nw Traditions Adult Horseback Riding (Age: 18 & up) Lessons will be offered in cooperation with the New Traditions Rid-ing Academy at Palos Hills Riding Stables. All lessons are one hour in length. Riders must wear long pants; shoes with heels no higher than 1 ½ inch and wear a helmet. Helmet rental is one dollar per les-son. Adult Beginner lessons are offered Mondays, 8:30pm and Sun-days, 12:15pm. Adult Pleasure Riding is offered Wednesdays, 12N and Sundays, 10am (coffee and discussion afterwards). Yoga to Transform Trauma: Circle of Hope: A Peer-Support Group + Yoga Class for Those Affected by TraumaCircle of Hope classes are confidential classes that marry a peer-sup-port, group sharing experience with a trauma-informed yoga class that is specifically designed to be sensitive towards those individu-als who have experienced trauma or have struggled with its effects. Campfire Meditation (Age: 10 & up) Join us this summer for an evening of meditation around the campfire! See why meditation is so popular and important to incorporate into your daily life! Meditation promotes mindfulness, relaxation, reduction of anxiety, and an overall sense of well-being. At the end of the 45-minute meditation session, we will enjoy making and eating S’mores around the campfire. Fitness mats will be provided to sit on in the grass, but participants are also welcome to bring their own pillows and blankets. Chairs will also be provided if you prefer not to sit on the ground. Paint & Palette- Acrylic Painting (Age: 8-16)This class is for anyone who likes to paint! Learn the art of acrylic paint-ing on canvas. Students will be instructed step-by-step while learning painting techniques, color work, basic elements of a proper composi-tion, brush work, color mixing, and much more! Students are encour-aged to explore the acrylic paint medium as they develop their artistic style. No prior experience necessary. Our painting subjects will range from whimsical and abstract to still life arrangements and landscapes. We provide aprons, easels, brushes & paints. Students are required to bring one 16x20 canvas to the first class. Explorations In Art (Age: 7-16) Beginner/Intermediate level class. Oil pastels, collage, chalk pastels, watercolor, ink work, charcoal drawing, and more mediums used alone or combined for unique finished works of art. A basic project is presented, but students will be allowed to "create" their work as they see fit. Some students may simply wish to explore the medi-ums without the pressure to complete the projects. Students learn correct application of various mediums, techniques/terminology, creative color work, composition, and how to draw everything from animals to landscapes. Campers will have the opportunity to discover their artistic style as they try out mediums such as clay, watercolors, tempera paint, graphite, charcoal, and oil pastels.
