Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: UPDATE ON UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES IN YOUR AREA We are writing to provide you with an update on construction activities taking place between Moreland road and the Tulla/Calder Interchange over the coming months as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project. As you may be aware, work on the CityLink Tulla Widening project is underway and involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road / Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. Once completed, the project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. CPB Contractors (formerly Leighton Contractors) is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. Where we will be The majority of our works are taking place on CityLink within the existing road corridor. At times we are working on land next to the freeway. When works will occur Day time work hours for construction are 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. However, some works can only occur during off peak periods for the safety of motorists and our workers. We will notify you of any works outside of day time work hours that may impact you. What we are doing We are converting the existing emergency lanes into new traffic lanes. In some areas construction of new road surface is required to allow for additional lanes. During peak periods we will continue to maintain the existing number of traffic lanes to keep traffic moving. We will be continuing the works in your area including:

Dear Resident

CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: UPDATE ON UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES IN YOUR AREA

We are writing to provide you with an update on construction activities taking place between Moreland road and the Tulla/Calder Interchange over the coming months as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project.

Where we will beThe majority of our works are taking place on CityLink within the existing road corridor. At times we are working on land next to the freeway.

When works will occurDay time work hours for construction are 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. However, some works can only occur during off peak periods for the safety of motorists and our workers. We will notify you of any works outside of day time work hours that may impact you.

What we are doingWe are converting the existing emergency lanes into new traffic lanes. In some areas construction of new road surface is required to allow for additional lanes.

During peak periods we will continue to maintain the existing number of traffic lanes to keep traffic moving.

We will be continuing the works in your area including: Constructing a two-lane road parallel to CityLink between the Calder/Tulla interchange and Bell Street,

which will separate traffic exiting at Bulla Road and Bell Street from general freeway traffic heading inbound;

Constructing a new bridge for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists travelling from Bell Street to Pascoe Vale Road. This will allow for two dedicated lanes of traffic from Bell Street to CityLink on the existing bridge heading outbound;

Widening the CityLink bridge that passes over Pascoe Vale Road; Widening the bridge over Moonee Ponds Creek north of Wallace Crescent; and Extending the Wheeler Street underpass to accommodate for road widening on CityLink
