CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: TRAFFIC DETOUR DUE TO FULL FREEWAY CLOSURE BETWEEN BULLA ROAD AND BELL STREET– 11.30PM 18 JUNE TO 7.30AM 19 JUNE 2016

We would like to advise you that CityLink will be closed overnight on 18 June from 11.30pm to 7.30am 19 June between Bell Street and Bulla Road in both directions as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening Project. The Bulla Road and Bell Street entry ramps will close from 9pm. The detour route as outlined on the map below will be via Pascoe Vale Road, Woodland Street and Bulla Road.

During this time, you will notice an increased number of vehicles using your road. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we undertake these essential works to widen the freeway. About the project

The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods.

Once completed, the project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander/ Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. Leighton Contractors is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. Construction is expected to be completed in 2018.
