BOURNEMOUTH is renowned for its clean beaches, and an excellent shopping centre.Art enthusiasts will want to visit the celebrated Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.

POOLE offers Sandbanks and clean beaches too, a chance to visit Brownsea Island andthe home of one of the last red squirrel colonies in the UK. Younger members of thefamily will enjoy Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park.

WAREHAM just a short distance from the Showground offers a traditional English townwith good local shops, pubs and restaurants. And a trip to Monkey World is always apopular one with children and adults alike.

WEYMOUTH boasts an elegant and attractive Regency Esplanade and historic sites likeNothe Fort. From here regular ferries cross daily to the Channel Islands. The Swannery atABBOTSBURY is well worth a visit.

SWANAGE is famous for nearby Corfe Castle perched high on a mound overlooking thesea. It is worth taking a ride on the Swanage Steam Railway and for those wishing to stepout further there are 95 miles of Jurassic coastline to walk all the way to Exmouth inDevon! The scenery along this stretch is breathtaking and a photographer’s dream.

The ancient Roman market town of DORCHESTER has a fine museum of local history,another on Dinosaurs and yet another on Tutankhamen. The author Thomas Hardy wasborn and brought up in a little village nearby and West Dorset Walks will guide you to hissecluded cottage. The art of making silk can be seen first hand at the Butterfly and SilkFarm at Lullingstone near SHERBORNE.

BOVINGTON is well known for its Tank Museum supported by the world’s bestcollection of armoured vehicles.

The 13th century Cobb at LYME REGIS (25 miles west of Dorchester) was featured inthe film The French Lieutenant’s Woman. The Marine Aquarium is to be recommended.

LULWORTH COVE AND DURDLE DOOR are two geological formations ofoutstanding natural beauty and should not be missed on any account.

Directions:From Ringwood (EAST) travel along A31 to a roundabout called ROUNDHOUSE ROUNDABOUT.This is near Wimborne. Follow the A350 towards Poole, do NOT turn off until the next roundabout.Follow the A35 West. Once past the BAKERS ARMS ROUNDABOUT take the first left. This will leadyou to the showground.From the WEST travel along the A35 towards Poole. At the Bakers Arms roundabout take the 4th exit(the road you have just travelled down). Then take the first left. This will lead you to the showground.Please be aware that some SAT NAVs will only bring you to the area not the entrance gate. Pleaselook out for road signs.

The showgound is situated near the South coast, please allow extra time for holiday traffic.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORSPASSES Two passes to be sent to each exhibitor irrespective of number of dogs entered. Exhibitors

entering on different days will be issued with a SEPARATE pass for EACH DAY.ADMISSION There is no admission charge.NOT FORCOMPETITION

Facilities will be available for Not For Competition at a charge of £17.00. Please note: Allpedigree details as registered at the Kennel Club must be on the Entry Form.

UNENTEREDDOGS

We regret that we are UNABLE TO PROVIDE A TENT FOR UNENTERED DOGS at the Showthis year. However, you can enter dogs as NOT FOR COMPETITION (at a cost of £17 per dog).This will enable your dog to be benched alongside your entered dogs. Please refer to Not ForCompetition details above. Alternatively, unentered dogs may be brought to the Show on theday and admitted as a SPECTATOR DOG (at a cost of £5 per dog). Upon arrival at the Showyou will need to complete the necessary Kennel Club Form, giving an undertaking that you willkeep your dog under control at all times. Dogs must be at least four months old on the first dayof the show.

CAR PARK £5 with entry or £7 on the day. If you have a disabled badge, you will automatically be directedto the Disabled Car Park. Disabled badge holders are NOT exempt from Car Parking Fees. Allvehicles (including Motor homes) must be removed from all Car Parks one hour after thecompletion of judging each day. Car Passes will be scanned.

CARAVANS &TENTS

£55.00 if pre-booked with entries. To cover period from noon on Thursday 1st October to noonon Tuesday 6th October 2020. Caravanners may arrive from noon Tuesday 22nd September toTuesday 6th October, at a charge of 11.00 per day if prepaid and booked in advance of arrival.A charge of £75.00 for 5 days will be collected by the Caravan Warden for non-pre-bookedCaravans. Additional days at £15 .00 per day if caravans are not pre- booked in advance of arrival.Approx. 300 caravans can be accommodated. Minimum caravan booking is 5 nights stay(Thursday 1st October to Tuesday 6th October). Booking is recommended. Pitch size is 30 x 30 ft;Extra-large pitches are available by contacting the Secretary on 01258 857721. Electric Hook Upcan be ordered by using the form on Page 3.Caravan Owners Please Note:

1. There will be a Caravan Warden on site.2. Please display your Caravan Label at all times.3. No Caravans/Motor Homes will be allowed to park in any of the Car Parks overnight.4. All Caravans will be allocated a pitch and must park within that pitch as directed by the warden.

Awnings must NOT be joined to those of an adjacent van. Each pitch allows either a Caravanand one vehicle only; Motorhome and one vehicle only; or Tent and one vehicle only. Additionalvehicles will be charged for at an extra £10.00 per vehicle, for full or part of and must display thecorrect LABEL issued by BCA or will not be allowed onto the Caravan site.

5. There will be a separate area for those arriving late to be used for overnight parking only.6. Numbered Caravan labels will be sent to exhibitors for pre-booked caravans.7. THERE IS TO BE NO SUB-LETTING OR SHARING OF PITCHES. STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED.8. No music after 11.00pm. Be considerate to other campers if and when playing music.

MEMBERS TENT Refreshments will be available for members and one friend. Please wear badges.PHOTOGRAPHY& VIDEO RIGHTS

The Organisers would like to bring the regulation on photography and filming to the attention ofexhibitors, trade stands, press and visitors.It is a condition of all those attending the event that no filming or other form of recording may betaken or made at the venue without express written permission of the organisers. The taking ofphotographs in the show venue for sale or reward is strictly prohibited except with the writtenpermission of the Organisers. Press accredited photographers are provided with permission totake photographs ONLY for use in newspapers, magazines and internet sites – this is for newspurposes only. There is no objection to the general public taking photographs of general viewsof the show, provided that these are for private use. Specific dogs may be photographed onlywith the approval of the exhibitor. No photography or filming is permitted in breed judging ringswhilst judging is actually taking place. However, judges may allow it to happen at the end ofclasses or after the Challenge Certificate is awarded. Filming and flash photography is allowedfrom outside the rings at all times unless the operation of the camera is actually affectingexhibits. However, if a powerful flash unit is used or it is clear that exhibits are being affected, aring steward or the judge is empowered to stop the person concerned.

CATALOGUES Pre-paid only: £6.00CATERINGARRANGEMENTS

Breakfast can be obtained on the showground. Lunches, teas and snacks are available atmoderate charges. A fully licensed bar will also be on the showground.

DISABLED PERSONS Toilets will be provided. Car Parking — see above.RAMPS Ramps are used at exhibitors own risk.

RULES & REGULATIONSVICIOUS DOGS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND MUST NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE SHOW.

EXHIBITORS ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THEIR DOGS DURING THE EXHIBITION.

1 The Show will open at 7.30 am.2 Dogs will be received until 12 noon and after which no dogs may be received except under exceptional and

unforeseen circumstances and by special permission of the Show Management.3 Judging will commence at 9.30 am. Where breeds are scheduled with two judges dogs will commence at 10.00 am

and bitches at 9.30 am4 Exhibits may be removed at 12 noon. Exhibits may not be removed any earlier unless by written order of the

Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Practitioner or of the Show Management and then only in very exceptional andunforeseen circumstances which must be reported to the Kennel Club. The Show will close half an hour after alljudging has been completed at which time dogs must be removed.

5 Entry Fees. The entry fee for those breeds with Challenge Certificates on offer for each dog is £28.00 (inclusive ofbenching fee) for the first entry and £5.00 for each subsequent entry (inc. VAT). The entry fee for breeds withoutChallenge Certificates on offer for each dog is £18.00 (inclusive of benching fee) for the first entry and £5.00 for eachsubsequent entry (inc. VAT). Exhibits Not For Competition £17.00. Stakes Classes if the only entry £18.00. JuniorHandling Association Classes £5.00 per entry. KC Breeders’ Competition £15.00. Catalogues: £6.00 pre-bookedwith entries, £7.00 on the day. Car Park: £5 with entry or £7 on the day. Caravans and Tents: £55.00 pre-bookedwith entries, £75.00 on the day. 10 Best Puppy in ShowWhere a Best Puppy in Show competition is scheduled the Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed andhas been declared Best Puppy in Breed, Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified Puppy or Best Any VarietyImported Breed Register Puppy. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on thefirst day of the Show. Where the Best of Breed, Best in Group or Best in Show is a puppy it should automatically beawarded Best Puppy in Breed, Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Similarly, if the Reserve Best ofBreed, Reserve Best of Group or Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only been beaten by an adult dog itshould also automatically be Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively.Consequently, selection of Best Puppy in Breed, Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show must follow the selectionof Best of Breed and Best in Show respectively.(a) Championship Shows Judged on the Group System

(Definition: Shows judged on Group System - refer to Regulation F(1)26b(1) Best Puppy in Breed

A Best Puppy must be declared in each breed from puppies entered in the breed classes.A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Not Separately classified class(es).A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register class(es).

(2) Best Puppy in Group and subsequent puppy group placings must be selected from:(a) Those puppies declared Best Puppy in Breed.(b) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each

Group.(c) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register classes in each group.

(3) Best Puppy in Show must be selected from the Best Puppy in Group winners.11 Best in Show

The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and has been declared Best of Breed, Best AnyVariety Not Separately Classified or Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register.(a) Shows Judged on the Group System

(1) Best of BreedWhere a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared but only from those exhibits whichhave received a first prize in a breed class at the show. Where separate classes are provided for each sexof a breed a Best of each Sex must be declared.NOTE: The Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/Best Any Variety Imported Breed

Register award relevant to a Category 3 Breed will not be confirmed until the dog has passed anexamination by the General and Group Championship Show Veterinary Surgeon.

(2) Best of GroupBest of Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from:

(a) The Best of Breed winners in each Group.(b) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each Group.(c) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Imported Breed Register class or classes in each Group.

NOTE: The dog declared Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any VarietyImported Breed Register from a breed designated by the Kennel Club as a Category 3 Breed is not eligibleto compete in the Group competition unless it has passed an examination by the Show’s VeterinarySurgeon. If the dog fails to pass the examination it is ineligible to compete in the relevant Group.

(3) Best in ShowBest in Show must be selected from the Best of Group winners.Reserve Best in Show must be selected from the remaining Group winners following the selection of Bestin Show.

12 Exhibits will not be admitted to Best in Show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since theannouncement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judgingnot being completed on time, and then only with the special permission of the Show Management.

13 Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them nor handle a dog in a manner whichcauses its feet not to touch the ground when on the move. This is not acceptable. Exhibitors should note that suchpractice would constitute harsh handling and reports of such practice will be referred to the Committee under KennelClub Show Regulation F11.

14 All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F Annex B — Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs forExhibition.

15 All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to theshow/event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to theexhibitor/competitor.

16 DOGS IN VEHICLES ON HOT DAYS. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should takeall reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at riskby any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of the Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referredto the Board for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guideyou through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy

holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water

available to drink.• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.• Keep the dog in the shade — take your own shade, for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of

water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths

of time.Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to direresults. Please look after your dog’s welfare.WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK, FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BENECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.

17 Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needsof their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission orotherwise. Breach of the Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary actionunder Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is notpermitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show.

18 Not For Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry formand must be Kennel Club registered.Regulation F.1.c: Only dogs of six calendar months of age and over on the firstday of the show are eligible for exhibition at Kennel Club licensed shows. However societies may accept Not forCompetition entries at their discretion and dogs aged four calendar months of age and over are eligible to enter Notfor Competition at all Kennel Club licensed shows. Futhermore, dogs aged four calendar months and over areeligible to enter Match Competitions.

19 No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will befollowed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.

20 Judges. Should any of the Judges be prevented from fulfilling their engagement, the Show Committee reserve theright to appoint a substitute. Exhibitors are at liberty to withdraw from competition but no entry fees can be returned.

21 Missed Classes. The Committee will not be responsible for Exhibitors missing their classes.22 Withholding Prizes. The Judges will be instructed and empowered to withold the prize or prizes in any class if in

their opinion the dog or dogs exhibited do not possess sufficient merit. The Judge’s decision shall be final in allcases.

23 Final Appeals. Should any question arise not provided for in these Regulations, the decision of the Committee shallbe final, subject only to appeal to the Kennel Club.

24 Objections and protests. Subject to KC Show Regulations.25 Forfeiture of Entry Fees. The entrance fee of a dog entered but not sent to the Show will be forfeited.26 Power to Exclude Dogs. An exhibit must be produced to the Veterinary Surgeon or Veterinary Practitioner for

examination at the request of the Show Manager. The Veterinary Surgeon or Practitioner will be empowered toexlude or remove any dog which, in their opinion, is not in a fit state for exhibition from disease, vice or any othercause.

27 Catalogues and Benching. The Catalogues will contain the owners’ names in each breed, with dogs in numericalorder. The breeds will be benched in the Catalogue order. No bench numbers shall be changed from one pen toanother, and no dog shall be benched on any other than its own, numbered pen. Under no circumstances maypartitions between the dogs be removed.

28 Safety of Dogs and Property. The Committee will be most anxious for the care and safety of dogs sent forexhibition and for any property entrusted to it, but it must be distinctly understood by Exhibitors and all other personsthat the Committee will not be responsible for the entire or partial loss or detention of or damage to dogs or others,and it is on this understanding only that entries are received.

28 Gangways. Gangways must be kept clear, any obstructions will be removed by authorised officials. Gazebos, tentsor similar shelters may not be erected in the show area.

29 Exhibits. All exhibits must be accompanied. The Committee cannot undertake to accept or despatchunaccompanied dogs.

30 Collar and Chain. All dogs must have a collar and chain.31 Exercise of Dogs. No dog shall be removed from its bench except for the purpose of being prepared for exhibition,

judged, exercise or by order of the Veterinary Surgeon or Show Committee. After being prepared for exhibition thedog must be replaced on its bench. No dog shall be absent from its bench for the purpose of exercise for longer than15 minutes.

32 Venue of Show. In the case of emergency, as to which the Committee shall be the sole judge, the Committee may,at its discretion, alter the place of holding the Show, either before or after the entries are received. In the case of suchalteration, Exhibitors will not be entitled to the return of any fees which may have been paid before receiving noticeof the same.

33 Abandonment of Show. In the event of the abandonment of the Show through circumstances beyond the controlof the Committee, expenses may be defrayed from entry fees to cover the cost of the Show preparation.

34 Rules and Regulations. All Rules and Regulations or definitions and instructions of the nature of Rules andRegulations printed for convenience in other parts of this Schedule shall be deemed to be Regulations of theCommittee and shall have the same effect as if they formed part of these Regulations.

35 All persons attending the Dog Show do so at their own risk. The Officers and Committee of the BournemouthCanine Association do not accept any responsibility for damage, injury, loss to such persons or their property.

36 Passes. Two passes to be sent to each exhibitor irrespective of number of dogs entered. Exhibitors entering ondifferent days will be issued with a SEPARATE Pass for EACH DAY.

37 Please note. Exhibits should not be retired from the ring to be presented at a later time except with the permissionof the judge.

38 Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible anyfouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environsof that event including car and caravan parks and approaches.

39 Trade Stands. The Committee can accept no responsibility for products advertised or sold by stand holders at theshow, and wish to remind exhibitors that grooming products on sale may not meet the requirements of theRegulations for Preparation of Dogs for Exhibiton.

40 The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all timesensure that the dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravanparks and approaches.

41 A dog may be disqualified by the General Committee from any award, whether an objection has been lodged or not,if proved amongst other things to have been registered or recorded as having been bred by the scheduled Judge.This shall not apply to a Judge appointed in an emergency.

42 Every Exhibitor shall ensure that whilst the dog is being exhibited, its handler shall display the correct ring number.43 Security. In making an entry for this show you agree to be solely responsible for the security of your dogs and property

within the showground area and caravan site while on the site. Please consider this before entering the show.Bournemouth Canine Association cannot accept responsibility for any item stolen during the show.

44 Safety Officer. A Safety Officer will be in attendance throughout the show. Exhibitors and spectators are remindedthat just as Bournemouth Canine Association has a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all thoseattending their event, all those present have a duty and responsibility for their own safety. They are thereforeexpected to take the greatest care to avoid guy ropes, uneven surfaces and other hazards which are inevitable andintegral elements of a dog show. Those bringing and using portable items of equipment such as folding chairs,trolleys, cages and grooming tables also have a responsibility to ensure that their tools, equipment and collapsiblefurniture are used and erected safely and does not constitute a hazard to others. Exhibitors are also reminded thatthey should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the prevailing conditions on the site. Exhibitors show at theirown risk if conditions are not ideal.

DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES(Vide Kennel Club Regulations for Definitions of Classes)

PUPPIES UNDER SIX CALENDAR MONTHS OF AGE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE SHOW ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EXHIBITIONN.B.—The word ‘’dog’’ includes both sexes

In the following Definitions, a Challenge Certificate includes any show award that counts towards the titleof Champion under the rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club.

Wins at Championship Shows in breed classes where Challenge Certificates are not on offer shall becounted as wins at Open Shows.

In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in Members’ Classes or competing for Members’Specials, each partner must at the time of entry be a member of the Society.

In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including the seventh day before the date ofclosing of Postal entries shall be counted when entering for any class i.e. Tuesday 25th August 2020.

Wins in Variety Classes do not count for entry in Breed Classes, but when entering for Variety Classes,wins in both Breed and Variety Classes must be counted. A First Prize does not include a Special Prize ofwhatever value.

If an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which isineligible, the exhibitor may choose one of the following options:

WithdrawalThe dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regulations 9(j) and 20.Transfer(a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height, the Show

Secretary shall transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct breed, colour, sex, weightor height and, in the event of there being no equivalent class, Minor Puppy and Puppy excepted to theOpen class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height.

(b) For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy Class, Puppy Class or Junior Class, which is overage but under 12 calendar months of age, 18 calendar months of age or 24 calendar months of agerespectively, the Show Secretary shall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy Class, Junior Class orYearling Class respectively for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height and in the event ofthere being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class, to the Open Class for the correct breed, colour, sex,weight or height.

(c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open Class for thecorrect breed, colour, sex, weight or height.

(d) If an exhibit arrives late and misses a class, even if it is the only class in which the dog is entered, thedog may not be transferred to any other class.

MINOR PUPPY—For dogs of six and not exceeding nine calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.PUPPY—For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.JUNIOR—For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.YEARLING—For dogs of twelve and not exceeding twenty four calendar months of age on the first day of the

Show.NOVICE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate/CAC/CACIB/Green Star or three or more First

Prizes at Open and Championship Shows (Minor Puppy, Special Minor Puppy, Puppy and Special PuppyClasses excepted, whether restricted or not).

UNDERGRADUATE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate/CAC/CACIB/Green Star or threeor more First Prizes at Championship Shows, where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed(Minor Puppy, Special Minor Puppy, Puppy and Special Puppy Classes excepted, whether restricted ornot).

GRADUATE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate/CAC/CACIB/Green Star or four or moreFirst Prizes at Championship Shows in Graduate, Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and OpenClasses, whether restricted or not, where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed.

POST GRADUATE—For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate/CAC/CACIB/Green Star or five ormore First Prizes at Championship Shows in Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and OpenClasses, whether restricted or not, where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed.

MID LIMIT—For dogs which have not become Show Champions under Kennel Club Regulations or under therules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club or won three or more CACIB/CAC/Green Starsor won five or more First Prizes in all at Championship Shows in Mid Limit, Limit or Open Classes, confinedto the breed, whether restricted or not, at shows where Challenge Certificates were offered for the Breed.

LIMIT—For dogs which have not become Show Champions under Kennel Club Regulations or under the rulesof any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club or won three or more CACIB/CAC/Green Stars orwon seven or more First Prizes in all, at Championship Shows in Limit or Open Classes, confined to theBreed, whether restricted or not, at Shows where Challenge Certificates were offered for the Breed.

OPEN—For all dogs of the breeds for which the class is provided and eligible for entry at the Show.VETERAN—For dogs of not less than seven years of age on the first day of the Show.

CHAMPION—For dogs which have been confirmed a Champion, Show Champion or Field Trial Champion.Champion classes may not be scheduled for individual breeds or varieties of breeds.

BRACE—For two exhibits (either sex or mixed) of one breed belonging to the same exhibitor, each exhibithaving been entered in some class other than Brace or Team

IMPORTED BREED REGISTER—For breeds confined to the Imported Breeds Register and only when anInterim Breed Standard has been published by the Kennel Club. Such breeds may be exhibited in this classonly, with the winning dog being eligible for Best in Group / Best Puppy in Group or Best in Show / BestPuppy in Show as relevant.

ANY VARIETY NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED—For breeds of dog for which no separate breed classesare scheduled.

NOT FOR COMPETITION—Societies may at their discretion, accept Not For Competition entries. Societiesmay accept such entries from breeds of dog not included within the title of the Society and at Shows heldover more than one day, such entries may be accepted on any day from any breed.

YKC STAKES—Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible forentry into a YKC qualifying stakes class. Dogs must be on the Kennel Club Breed Register to compete in aYKC stakes competition. The first placed member only in each dog group at the qualifying show will qualifyfor Crufts. A rosette will be awarded. If a member is disqualified, the qualification does not roll down to thenext placing. All pedigree dogs are eligible to take part provided the dog is registered on the Kennel ClubBreed Register. The dog must be registered a) solely or jointly in the member’s name or b) in the name of aclose member of the family (i.e. a group of people related by blood or by marriage) and under thesecircumstances the dog must be resident at the YKC member’s address. No substitute handlers arepermitted — the dog must be handled by the registered YKC member. Members are not permitted to allowanother individual to show their dog at the qualifier on their behalf if they are not able to attend the class,unless agreed by the YKC Office prior to the show. Members must be aged 6 - 24 years (members 6 yearsand up to, but not including 25th birthday). Please note that membership of the YKC terminates on amember’s 25th birthday. Therefore if a member is aged 25 years or over by the first day of Crufts they will beunable to compete in any YKC class. Please keep this in mind when entering qualifiers throughout thecompeting year. In order to enter any YKC competition you must be a fully paid up member at the time ofentry and competition. If you enter a Crufts qualifier and you have not previously paid your membership feethen any award will be forfeited Therefore it is important to renew and maintain YKC membership as currentif you wish to participate in YKC competitions.

YKC HANDLING CLASSES—Only dogs of six (6) calendar months of age and over on the day of competitionare eligible for entry into a YKC qualifying class. Qualification is on a points basis as follows: 1st place = 30points; 2nd place = 20 points; 3rd place = 10 points. Members will receive points per group (i.e. if theyhandle a Bloodhound, they will get points towards the Hound group). If a member gains 30 points in any onegroup, they will qualify to enter a dog from that group at Crufts 2021. If a member gains 30 or more points inmultiple groups, they may only compete with one dog at Crufts, but they will have the option to choose fromany of the groups they have 30 or more points in. The classes are dividedinto three age groups: 6-11 years (6 years and up to, but not including 12th birthday). 12-17 years (12 yearsand up to, but not including 18th birthday). 18-24 years (18 years and up to, but not including 25th birthday).In order to enter any YKC competition, you must be a fully paid up member at the time of entry andcompetition. GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME CLASS—For dogs that have achieved their GCDS Bronze Award certificateor above.

KENNEL CLUB BREEDERS’ COMPETITION—Each team will consist of a minimum of three and maximum offour dogs of one breed, all bred by the same breeder or breeding partnership. The breeder enters the classand then arranges which dogs are exhibited on the day of the show. Please clearly state the name and affixof the registered breeder(s). Entries will not be taken on the day of the show. Teams will be awardedpoints/prize money in the KC Breeders’ Competition as follows: Points 1st; 30; 2nd 15; 3rd 10; 4th 5. PrizeMoney 1st Non ABS Prize Fund £20; ABS Prize Fund £25. Please note that Assured Breeders will becredited with a higher prize value. These points will be recorded in the Kennel Club Breeders Competitionrecord book through the year. The minimum qualification for the Crufts final will be 50 points, with amaximum of 40 finalists including the winning teams from the European and World Dog Shows’ breederscompetition. Our Dogs will collate the points and publish a leader board through the year.

REGULATIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOGS FOR EXHIBITION F (B)1 These Regulations must be observed when a dog is prepared for exhibition and/or exhibited at any Kennel Club

Licensed event. Objections may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under these ShowRegulations and/or for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rule A42.(a) A dog found to have been exhibited in breach of these Regulations will automatically be disqualified from

exhibition at the show and from any award gained thereat.(b) Unless the exhibitor provides a satisfactory explanation for the dog being exhibited in breach of these

Regulations then he/she may be subject to further penalties of either a fine or as listed under Rule 42.2 (a) No substance which alters the natural colour, texture or body of the coat may be present in the dog’s coat for

any purpose at any time during the Show. No substance which alters the natural colour of any external part ofthe dog may be present on the dog for any purpose at any time during the Show.

(b) Any other substance (other than water) which may be used in the preparation of a dog for exhibition must notbe allowed to remain in the coat or on any other part of the dog at the time of exhibition.

3 No act or operation which alters the natural conformation of a dog or any part thereof may be performed except:(a) Operations certified to the satisfaction of the General Committee.(b) The removal of dewclaws of any breed.(c) Operations to prevent breeding, provided that such operations are notified to the Kennel Club before neutered

dogs are shown.Nor must anything be done calculated to in the opinion of the General Committee to deceive.

4 The General Committee without previous notice may order an examination of any dog or dogs at any Show. Anyexamination thus ordered will be made by a person having executive authority who shall have a written directivefrom the Kennel Club in their possession. Samples may be taken for further examination and analysis.

5 An individual has the right to lodge an objection to a dog only if he/she is the owner or handler of a dog competingin the same breed or class, an objection may, however, be lodged by an official of the Show or by anyone sodeputed by the Kennel Club. It will be the responsibility of the individual who lodges the objection or the official (asappropriate) to substantiate the grounds for the objection. The Kennel Club will substantiate the grounds for anobjection made on its behalf.

6 Any objection by an individual related to an infringement of these Regulations must be made in writing to the ShowSecretary at his/her office before the close of the Show and the individual must produce evidence of identity at thetime of lodging the complaint.
