We raised over £100. The children have voted to send a little of this to Kenya to help our Friendship School with funds for their Christmas Party. (Estimated cost of £38 for 200 children to have a Christmas celebration.) For more information about St Francis Day Centre please see our website – Go to Our community/international links. Lots of photos to look at. WAY IN FOR CLUBS Please use the side entrance by the hall for clubs as the office is not always manned. Cuckfield Christmas Tree Theme We’ve voted for ‘Tree Trash’ with decorations made from recycled materials – in partnership with Bolnore Arts Group. Food Festival in Year 1 Friday 26 November. Miss Mason says “We’d love to taste more nut-free food from different countries. All contributions most appreciated!” 10 k RUN Miss France and Miss Dugard are doing a sponsored 10k run in February in Chichester. Join in or sponsor them? More information coming shortly. All funds raised will go to buy local books for the children in our Friendship school in Kenya. STARTING SCHOOL 2011 Mrs Allen is showing prospective parents around at 10 am on Friday 26 November. YEAR 2 SCHOOL TRIP Willow Fire Birds are off on the mini-bus to Brighton to visit CLOUD 9. They will be making up their very own ice-cream as part of their Fire and Ice Topic. Tasty heh? HELMET TIME! Dear Father Christmas, Please buy me a scooter helmet as scootering is dangerous and Mrs Allen is worried I might have an accident. Also the local residents have spotted some accident hot spots and 19 children went by without helmets. British Sign Language (BSL) – Taster Sessions Silence in the corridors? Can this be true? Yes! The children have been holding doors open and signing ‘Thank you’. Please join us with your children on Thursday 2 nd December and Wednesday 8 th December from 3.30 – 4.00pm, in the Orchard Room for a child orientated taster session in BSL..
