What a busy SPORTS DAY – it started with an Olympic Flame Parade to World in Union followed by a carousel of point scoring activities with races to finish off. Everyone had a chance to excel and show off their Olympic potential including our mums, dads, toddlers, grandparents and staff. An enormous thank you to Miss Mason, Rachel Page and Jade Megalti (Year 10 work experience students) for organising the events and to everyone who helped set up. Thanks go to the FoBVPS for the much needed refreshments and to our visiting Grandparents for giving out the medals. Well done to the Green Team Green Team Green Team Green Team for winning the overall competition. Bolnore Village Fete: Sunday 17 July, 2011 Bolnore Village Primary School will be attending the fete again this year. We will be performing dances and running a Tombola Stall to raise money for school funds. We will put a tombola collection table in the playground for any donations for the stall (no alcohol please) in the week 11 July to 15 July. Please come along to the fete and support us. See you there! We’re busy making things in Forest School to sell at the fete too! Everyone needs a mallet! Seaside Day : Thursday 7 July DON’T FORGET TO DRESS UP IN YOUR PURPLE BEACH CLOTHES ON THURSDAY. Children can bring money in to school to donate towards the PURPLE PINKY CAMPAIGN and have their nails painted. A separate letter is coming about what to bring and when….. to make it a real beach day. TEDDY BEARS’ PICNIC We said ‘hello’ to all our new Reception children who will be joining us in September. We played in the field, had stories, sang songs and went on a Goldilocks treasure hunt. We’re looking forward to seeing them all again on 6 July 2011. (Who is Mrs Hammans carrying?) FLUTTERBYE BUTTERFLY Year 1 have been carefully tending to their butterfly larvae. All the larvae have now hatched and the class released 5 special butterflies into the wild. Be lucky butterflies! Ready, Steady, Go!

What a busy SPORTS DAY – it started with an Olympic
