FY2018-19 Room and Board Rate Recommendations Recommend overall room and board rate increase

of 3.00% for “The Woods” housing and 3.25% for the traditional housing facility

Supports the $85 million modernized new and renovated housing and dining facilities, living and learning environment

Includes 3% increase for The Woods, which is below maximum allowable under the EdR contractual agreement.

Includes 3.50% for the NMU traditional housing:

◦ Covers inflationary cost adjustments for personnel, utilities and supplies.

◦ Maintain sufficient funds for maintenance and repairs

◦ Maintains our NMU/EdR differential

Includes a recommended 3.00% increase in board rates for the constant pass meal plans

◦ Covers inflationary cost adjustments for cost of food, personnel, utilities and supplies

Maintains same relative competitive position in room and board rates
