High Performance Parts

Vario panniersThe waterproof Vario panniers come with a patented adjust-ing mechanism. The volume can be reduced from a total of 68 l (29 l left, 39 l right) to 50 l (20 l left, 30 l right). This is particularly useful for city driving, since the width is reduced by 120 mm.

High Performance Carbon Add-On PartsHigh Performance parts lend an air of outstanding performance: refined, sporty, exclusive and at the same time strong. Every part is a masterpiece in itself. If it’s perfection you want, you’ll find it here. Add-on parts in carbon – the ultimate lightweight material – combine a sophisticated look and technical expertise.

Backrest pad for the topcaseFitted to the Vario topcase, the backrest pad offers greater comfort for the pillion passenger.

Inner bags The handy inner bags feature a welded inner, making them particularly waterproof and making it easier to load and unload panniers and the top-case. Variable volumes can be achieved, just like on the pannier and topcase, thanks to all-round zip fasteners.

CarrierThe solid carrier is screwed into place at three points. Also available as a factory fitted option.

Vario topcaseThe waterproof Vario top-case can be secured with the adapter plate either to the standard luggage grid or instead of the pillion passen-ger seat. The volume can be quickly and easily enlarged from 25 l to 35 l, just like on the Vario panniers.

Small tankbag, waterproofWaterproof, with large map pocket. Offers a volume of 5 l for all the little things you need to have to hand quickly when on the road.

Safety options

BMW Motorrad Navigator IVWhere am I, where do I want to go and what’s the quickest way to get there? Questions that come up time and time again, and can be answered very easily: with the BMW Motorrad Navigator IV. Easy to install, it’s the ideal GPS navigation system.

Enduro ASC (Automatic Stability Control)This system, which can be disabled at any time, prevents the uncontrolled spinning of the rear wheel, thereby helping the rider on diffi cult terrain.

Stainless steel engine protection barThe engine protection bar, made from electropolished stainless steel, provides effective protection to the cylinder.

Headlight guardThe headlight guard effec-tively protects the headlight from damage off the road (not approved for road use).

LED additional headlightsTurn night into day. The LED additional headlights are a bright and powerful addition to the R 1200 GS.

Aluminium cylinder head cover protection On rough roads, protects against scratches and knocks, thereby avoiding possible breakage of the exposed parts of the hori-zontally-opposed engine.

Plastic cylinder head cover protection Protects exposed parts of the horizontally-opposed engine in the event of minor falls.
