LATEST EVENTS

Last Friday, July 5, 2019, at 7:00pm, took place he meet-ing of the new Parochial Administrator, Rev. Gabriel J. To-ro R. with the Parish and Financial Councils and Parochial Trustees, was held at the Saint Oscar Romero’s Hall in the Convent .

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 7:00pm at the Saint Oscar Romero’s Hall, Rev. Gabriel J. Toro R. met with the lead-ers of the established parish groups. On the same night around 8:00pm in the Valero’s Hall, he met with the parish-ioners who would like to be part of our parish groups, ex-plaining the requirements they new members must com-plete to establish a new Parochial Apostolic Group.

The meetings were very successful and the new parameters to follow were given, for the good of our Parish Communi-ty and the Greater Glory of God.

As a result of these meetings we will have several changes, which will be announced in future bulletins.

INVITATION—NEW MINISTERS! Our parish is contin-ually in need of new Ministers or Volun-teers. If you are an active member of our community and you already have made the three Sacraments of Initiation, you can help and serve as Minister of Communion, the Hospitality and as Lector. Please inform us of your willingness and availability. To register, approach to the Parish and Faith Formation Offices and give your name, address and tele-phone number. Father Gabriel will communicate with the volunteers for an interview and begin the selection process. No ministry can be assumed without the generosity and Freedom knowing that everything we do is for God only. Lets accomplish our responsibility towards our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Diocese and the parish will provide you with the nec-essary preparation to fulfill your ministry.

EVENTOS RECIENTES

El pasado Viernes 5 de Julio de 2019, a las 7:00 pm, se llevó a cabo en el salón San Oscar Romero del Convento, la reunión de presentación del nuevo Administrador Parro-quial, Rev. Gabriel J. Toro R. con el Consejo Parroquial, el Consejo Financiero y los Consejeros Fiduciarios(Trustees) Parroquiales.

De igual manera el pasado Martes 9 de Julio de 2019, a las 7:00 pm en el salón San Oscar Romero, el Rev. Gabriel J. Toro R. se reunió con los lideres de los grupos parro-quiales ya establecidos. El mismo día a las 8:00pm en el salón Valero se entrevisto con los feligreses que aspiran ser parte de los grupos parroquiales, dándoles a conocer los requisitos que deben completar para pertenecer a un nuevo Grupo Apostólico Parroquial.

Las reuniones tuvieron un gran éxito y en ellas se estable-cieron los nuevos parámetros a seguir, para el bien de nuestra Comunidad Parroquial y la Mayor Gloria de Dios.

Como resultado de estas reuniones tendremos varios cam-bios, los cuales serán anunciados oportunamente en futu-ros boletines.

¡INVITACIÓN—NUEVOS MINISTROS! La parroquia necesita integrar nuevos Minis-tros y Servidores. Si usted es miembro activo de nuestra comunidad y si ya hizo los tres Sacra-mentos de iniciación puede ayudar y servir como Ministro de la Comunión, de la Hospitalidad y como Lector. Para registrarse diríjase a las Oficinas de la Parroquia y del Catecismo, deje su nombre, dirección y número de telé-fono. Padre Gabriel se comunicará con los candidatos para una en-trevista y comenzar así el proceso de selección y ayudar en ese servicio a la comunidad. Ningún ministerio puede ser asumido sin esa generosidad y Libertad de saber que todo lo hacemos por y para Dios y para hacer presente nuestra res-ponsabilidad para con nuestros hermanos. La diócesis y la parroquia les proporcionará la preparación necesaria para cumplir con su ministerio.

CELEBRATION FOR SWEET SIXTEEN

The requirements for this celebration are:

1. The family must be registered in the parish and be active members (attending with envelopes each week) for at least six (6) months.

2. The birthday girl must be bap-tized, have received her First Com-munion and Confirmation, or, be attending the preparation classes to receive Confirmation. The birthday girl must also belong to one of the parish groups for young people. (Youth Group, Altar Servers, Choir).

3. The parents and the birthday girl must request for an appointment to speak with the pastor at least three (3) months in advance as long as they meet all the requirements.

We appreciate your understanding and collaboration in order to keep this celebration.

CELEBRACIÓN PARA QUINCEAÑERAS

Los requisitos para esta celebración son:

1. La familia debe estar inscrita en la parroquia y ser miembros activos (asistiendo con sobres cada semana) al menos por seis (6) meses.

2. La quinceañera debe estar bautiza-da, haber recibido su Primera Comu-nión y Confirmación, o, estar asistien-do a las clases de preparación para recibir la Confirmación. La quincea-ñera también debe pertenecer a uno de los grupos parroquiales para jóvenes. (Grupo de Jóvenes, Monaguillos, Co-ro).

tos que califican para este proceso son: 1. Adultos que no se han bautizados y que desean ingresar a la Igle-

The RCIA (Rite of Chris-tian Initiation of Adults) is a process of prayer, reflec-tion, and leadership that allows for the continual dis-cernment of God’s will in our lives. Candidates for RCIA includes: 1. Non-baptized adults who wish to enter the Catho-

lic Church; 2. Baptized adult Christians of another denomination

who wish to continue their Christian faith in the Catholic Church;

3. Adult baptized Catholics who have not yet com-pleted the Sacraments of Initiation (Communion, Confirmation) and wish to do so.
