Dr. Tahllee BaynardResearch ScientistLockheed Martin Corporation

Dr. Tahllee Baynard is a Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin. He works on a wide variety of programs which span aerosol science, space based sensing for climate research, systems for improved efficiency of alternative energy generation, and critical technology developments for laser radar. Recently he led organizational improvements in the areas of knowledge management systems and technology transition planning. Earlier in his career he worked at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) studying climate change and air quality.

Dr. Baynard is the 2012 receipt of the BEYA Scientist of the Year and a former BEYA Modern Day Technology Leader award winner. Tahllee graduated from Cornell College with a B.A. in Chemistry and History. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in Physical Chemistry. He is also a member of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA). He is a former member of his local school board and currently serves on the Career Engagement Board at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA.

Mr. Terrence HeadDirector of ProductizationBAE Systems, Inc.

Mr. Head is currently the Director of Productization at BAE Systems Inc., a newly established Business Transformation & Technology organization within the Office of the CIO and Information Management (IM). As Productization Director, Terrence is responsible for the training, communications, design, development, and testing of features and functionality for technology tools, applications and solutions launched by the IM organization. The success of IM products rests on Terrence’s shoulders as he manages strong collaborative relationships with leaders and subject matter experts for pre-launch, launch, and post-launch product activities.

  Mr. Head has over 12 years of experience as a consultant and executive in the defense and federal government sectors. He has led business development activities as a proposal volume lead, a Program Manager for mergers & acquisitions, and has built capture projections for business growth and performance. Familiar with Lifecycle Management system development and Operational Frameworks, Terrence built his experience as a Systems Engineer and System Integrator on the government’s top priority defense and intelligence procurements in the 2000’s.

Mr. Head is a proud graduate of SC State Univ. with a BS of Science in Electrical Engineering; and of The University of Maryland University College where he earned an MBA and MS in Technology Management, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology. Mr. Head is a past BEYA MDTL winner and was once featured in USBE IT Magazine for his innovative work in IT. Terrence is active in the community where he advises schools and churches on how to leverage IT to enhance their mission and service offering of learning and worship.

Mr. William Lash, Sr.Management ConsultantIBM Corporation

Mr. Lash is a certified Master Black Belt and prior MDTL winner with over twelve years of systems and process/program management. He is experienced in all phases of the project management and systems/software development lifecycle. Mr. Lash has led several efforts to provide business strategy, change management, and system solutions to a variety of private and public sector clients. In addition to process improvement, Mr. Lash demonstrated proficiency in creating strategic alliances, strategic communications, competency modeling, requirements analysis, quality assurance testing, and training delivery. He has garnered significant continuous improvement results in the manufacturing, service and transactional markets.

Mr. Lash received a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Masters of Science degree in Systems Engineering from George Mason University.

Mr. Lash is a prior MDTL winner and has professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Master Black Belt), PMI Project Management Professional, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library.

Mr. Ogunna NjokuManagement ConsultantIBM Corporation

Mr. Njoku has more than 12 years of quality, engineering, and project management experience, including several years working on major continuous improvements efforts with major defense supplier and contractors within the DOD. Throughout his career, he has been primarily aligned to managing, supporting quality, change management and continuous improvement efforts, including providing significant direct support to multiple Lean Six Sigma deployments, programs, projects and events supporting variety engagements within the military.

Mr. Njoku’s functional areas of expertise include Lean Six Sigma, Quality Management, Continuous Process Improvement, change management, Organizational Design/Development and Project Management. He is a proud graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Science in Quality Systems Management from National Graduate School. Mr. Njoku is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a Certified Project management Professional from the Project Management Professional Institute. He is an active member of the American Society for Quality and the National Society for Black Engineers.
