Purpose

drilling, sanding,

countersinking,

and plug cutting

Safety

1. Always wear safety glasses

2. Never leave chuck key in chuck

3. Use a V block for round stock

4. Clamp small pieces

5. Place scrap under stock

6. Position stock so the longer

side is to the left

7. Use appropriate speeds

- bits larger than ¼” use slower speeds

- bits smaller than ¼” use faster speeds

- only change speed with machine on

8. Return feed wheel to up position

by hand

Procedure

1. Select the right bit, secure it in the

chuck

2. Position stock

3. Cut on machine, slowly push drill

through the stock, backing out

occasionally to remove chips

4. Return feed wheel to up position

by hand

5. Cut off machine
