Basic Navigation

This demonstration will cover the navigation bar, the buttons located in the control panels, the maininformation panels, and how to access help from within the system.

Getting Started

The account home screen provides a wealth of information and is easily navigated through the use of astandardized color-coded system. The screen has three basic areas through which you will navigate.


Breadcrumb Trail

Starting at the top of the screen is the black Navigational Bar in which you will see a breadcrumb trailtoward the left. A breadcrumb trail is created every time you navigate throughout different parts of thesystem, telling you very specifically where you are at any given time. Some of the text in thenavigational bar will appear yellow indicating that this text functions as an active link, allowing you tojump to a different area or screen.


Control Panels

On the right-hand side of the screen are the gold colored Control Panels. They contain buttons andactions, which are used to interact with the system. Each control panel contains button groups relatedto specific functional areas for the product. For example, the Account Control Panel contains buttons tomake changes to your overall account information.


Information Panels

The remainder of the screen is devoted to blue Information Panels that contain general informationabout your account and the tests to which you have access.


Some information panels contain action buttons that allow you to quickly view results or make changesto a test if you have licensed the customization option. For example, the Assessment Information Panelcontains a listing of the tests available to you along with one or more action buttons.


Magnifying Glass Icon

And another example: if one of your tests contains results, you may click the small magnifying classicon to view the current results and reporting screens.


Actions Icons Legend

To see a listing of the actions associated with each action icon, click the blue exclamation point to theright of the word Actions.


On-Screen Information

More information, specifically related to the screen and/or action with which you are working, isavailable for many screens within the test system. This information can take the form of instructionalhelp, terminology clarification, or explanations of what the system is asking you to do.


Question Mark Icon

When available, you will be able to access this additional information by clicking the blue question markicon and viewing the pop-up screen that appears.
