Some of you met MicfUko Pukoc, a co-worker of Don and Norma Burney inShikoku, who came b a c k S t a t e s i d e t h e same t i m e I d i d t o v i s i t OBC a nd LCCf r i e nds . She wa s ab le to share with many people how God provided fo r her duringh e r s t r u g g l e w i t h b r e a s t cance r. I helped h er w ith th e t r a n s l a t i o n o f t h a tmarvelous testimony i n to English, so look fo r i n th e LOOKOUT i f h a s n ta l r e a d y appeared.

I owe a very spec i a l thank-you to a l l who prayed fo r EIJI PUKUVA thehusband o f one o f o ur c hu rc h members who was h o s p i t a l i z e d wi th a blood d i s e a s ei n J u l y. He was re leased i n S ep te mb er , a nd seems to be g r ad u a ll y r ec o ve r in g ,and gaining strength. But the biggest ba t t l e i s won: E t j t was baptized intoC h r i s t on October lO th . He gave h i s f i r s t publ ic tes t imony i n church on th e22nd, and he i s t r u ly a changed man; th e jo y o f the Lord j u s t r a d i a t e s from h i sface. We a r e now heading f u l l swing i n t o Chris tmas p r e p a r a t i o n s . This y e a r, o u rSunday School kids a r e prac t ic ing a Bible drama, and w e r e planning to i nv i t eth e p are nt s fo r the f i r s t t ime . We a re planning to d i s t r i b u t e 4,000 t r a c t s(reaching about hal f the homes in Hesaka) during December, culminating with anevange l i s t i c movie and a candle s e r v i c e on Chris tmas Eve. Ou r theme: Immanuel,G od w i t h U s .
