The year 1975 was so abundant in activities, victories, achievements andGod*s blessings, that there was no room for disappointments, failures and discouragements .

It will be hard to describe everything on 3 pages of this newsletter so Idecided to quote portions of letters from different phases of our work andlet them speak for themselves:

1. PREACHER IN POLAND

"Beloved Bro. and Sister Bajko. We greet you from the depth of our hearts.God is good to us here in Poland. He gives us strength, He tests us, He watches over us and blesses us. We preach, hold revival meetings and baptizepeople. I am happy that He called me from my youth to serve Him.We thank you for your concern and help for us. On Aug. 27, I listened to the program which was about the Prodigal Son andthe son who was at home. It was very interesting message. In the light of thatmessage I could say that all the world is in an evil state. People need to repent. I see myself that I and my family need to turn to God too. I am gratefulfor that program. In 1976 it willhe 25 years since I marrieda wonderfulgirl who worksalongside with me buildingGod's Kingdom.

So we are CELEBRATING TWO GREAT SILVER ANNIVERSARIES in our lives. Those werewonderful 25 years filled with the work for the Lord:

We began New Testament work among Slavic speaking people in this country and at the sametime lead very extensive work in Poland,

We were able to do this great work because SOMETIME IN THE PAST I VISITED AND SPOKEAT YOUR CONGREGATION and you helped us financially and with your prayers.

We seldom appeal for funds because Godsees our work and helps us ina wonderful way throughChristian people. With the Lord's help, byfaith we operate in black and have done much.This letter is not an appeal either but IT IS SOMETHING SPECIAL.

Lord willing next June on our 25th WEDDING ANNIVERSAY we will be in Poland butnot for vacation but to preach, visit radio listerners in remote areas, to have conferences with ourpreachers and workers there, to see their needs and to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the NewTestament Christianity in Poland.

There is a need to build some houses or workship/just recently I received three requests/, todevelop Christian Service Camp and build the OldFolksHome.

THEIR VISAS TO POLAND

In December 1975 few Churches received a letter which we publish on the frontpage of this newsletter.The reason we publish this letter is because so far we did not reach the goalset in that letter and we trust that you will help us to reach that goal.

Leading Faith Promise at Eastern Christian College in January on the 30th Anniversary of the C^JLlege I LulJ—people that I am a millionaire:

First of aJLjrXl^ a millionaire^ ^because I am a child of God and have everything: I am a citizen^°oFtheKingdom of God and a citizen of the greatest countryin the world - USA. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I am also a millionaire because when few years ago upon invitation of thechurches I started to lead Faith Promise Rallies across this land, I lead already over 100 Rallies in addition to our regular ministry, and in those RalliesLord's People promissed over 3 milliens dollars for missionaries to be send topreach, for the support of Bible Colleges and other worthy mission projects.

Also in the last 20 years of my service I preached in over 800 churches, 60Camps, numerous Rallies and Conventions where many, many souls accepted Christand many, many young men and women dedicated their lives to speci^ized service.

All this work is additional to our regular misision work about which you readevery second month in our newsletter. We praise God for it and give Him Glory.

As I mentioned in my letter we seldom appeal for money and this time we do itas something SPECIAL and that special is our DOUBLE 25th ANNIVERSARY.

We are happy to report that we have already our visas to enter Poland. Herewe see also Lord's guidance because we go not as tourists but as guests on invitation of the Church in Poland and therefore we are exempt from the required minimum currency exchange which is S10.- per day. Because of that we are savingS 600."

In the beginning we planned to stay in Europe 3 months, but we realize nowthat such long absence will be harmful to our work here so we decided to gofor a shorter period. Here again using a 22/45 day tickets we are saving another S 600.-. —-

All saved money will be given toward the Lord's work in Poland.

We firmly believe in indigenous work and all our efforts are toward assistingnative workers. For this reason we do not waste Lord's money on yearly travels

Dut we go once in 3 years to see how thelwork is progressing, to have conferences with preachers and workers, to see tlieir needs, to discuss the success andfailures of our involvements through literature, song books, radio, publicaticns,Christian Service Camp and building programs, etc. and then back home to evaluate the work together with the Guidance Committee.

You probably know from those who visited Poland that many of our brethren therehave to meet in private homes. We would like to help them to build or to purchase houses of worship and also to develop the only Christian Service Camp inPoland in our Brotherhood.

For this reason we need your help.We can take without any restrictions any amount of money and to leave it in

Poland and this is what we plan to do.Our departure. Lord willing, is May 25th.

Please pray for the success of our trip and work in Poland!

Dear Friends:

This year, like many otiher years, is very busy for us.As always, we began the New Year on our knees in the Slavic Church of Christin Baltimore. The work in Baltimore which we began in 1960 is progressing nicely. Lord is blessing us there with good preaching, teaching, youth progran,ladies program, special services, missionary program and radio ministry.There was also another baptismal service in March.Special missionary offering on Christmas day exceded the goal of I 1,000.-to S 1,300.00.We thank God for Adam Korenczuk, the minister of the church.

Personally X preached in many churches in the past couple of monlii,lead victorious Faith Promise Rallies, preached to men, at several Missionary Rallies, attended National Religious Broadcasters meeting in Washington, taughtat E.C.C., wrote sermons and articles for our Polish magazine, published anddistributed literature and made preparation for the trip to Poland this summer .

Dela was busy with some speaking dates to Ladies, writing, translating, editing, entertaining guests, packing used clothing, acknowledging contributionsand writing letters.

Our family is almost gone - our daughter Yvonne and her husband John movedfrom Erwin, Tenn. to Las Vegas, Nev. where John is youth minister at theCentral Christian Church, where Bro. Bob Kroh is minister.

GEORGE, our son is graduating from Milligan College May 16 in busines admi -nistration and plans to remain in Johnson City, Tenn.ANDREW, our youngest son is a freshman at Milligan College.

Our 25 th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY June 16, we will celebrate in Poland - on ourMission Field.

By the time you will receive this news letter we will be in Poland

Due to heavy schedule of speaking dates in July and August our trip will be shortened from 3 months to 45 days.

I was able to obtain 3 copiesof "Drogowskaz," each of which contained a modern song translated into Polish.I would like to obtain all the Polish songs which you have translated. If youwould inform us as to the cost, etc., we will be more than glad to make the necessary arrangements.

Perhaps it would be well if I explain the reason for this request. Under thesupervision of ray father, G. K. it is pos£;ible that a quartet of men may beable to tour Poland in the summer. We are all Slavic men, but unfortunatelydo not speak Polish for the most part. Our method will be to select certainsongs and then have the words and their proper pronunciation taught us bythose members of our congregation who are fluent in Polish. We also hope totake Polish evening classes for a semester or two. At this time we are attempting to collect a folio of Polish songs. Our desire is to sing modern as wellas traditional compositions and we have appealed to you because of the manymodern hymns you have translated.Awaiting your reply and further instructions, we remain. AMERICA. AMERICA..."

In this BICENTENIIIAL YEAR the whole world thinks and speaks about Americaand is aware maybe more than ever before of our great country.

To some people the 200 th Birthday of America may be just a cause for cerlebration BUT for us it is more then celebration - it is GRATITUDE, THANKFULNESS and deep EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE.

There is no other country in the world like AMERICA with its beauty,freedom, smile, abundance, great people and faith.I even dare to say that America is a Biblical country. In Mat. 5:44 Jesussaid: "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hateyou, and pray for them which despisefully use you, and persecute you."

I live in this country already 26 years and I see goodhearted Americans helping everybody. America is first to help in disaster sending relief, Americahelps to rebuild destroyed nations and to build new nations, America givesloans and supports every benevolent organization, contributes to United Nations, etc. - but instead of "Thank you" we hear shouts: "go home, ugly A-merican!"

We hear curses and see hate, but old, good UNCLE SAM smiling wishes good toall people and sends more help.

Is there another country like this? THANK GOD FOR AMERICA!

America opens the door for "the tired and the poor.... the homeless and tem-pest-tossed" and gives them life and freedom.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

But there is a purpose for the greatness of America. Again I dare to applyScripture from 1 Peter 2:9: "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a pecular people; i:hat ye should shew forth the praisesof him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

I firmly believe that this country was chosen by God and it is God's country.No other coutry was founded on the Bible with a prayer.No other country has so many missionariesi around the world proclaiming theGospel of Christ as U.S.A.No other coutry has so many Bible believing churches and great servants of theLord as U.S.A.

No other country is so concerned about saving souls and building the Churchof Christ as U.S.A.

Brethren, God has chosen us to"shew forth His praises" to all nations andlead people to Christ. So let us thank (^od for this privilege and beingfilled with the Spitit of the Lord and His power let us go on in this greatministry of building the true BROTHERHOOD through Christ.

I thank God that I and my family are part of this great nation and that Ican serve the Lord through preaching the Gospel of Christ to all people.

WHAT surprise!

The Day of May 22 nd will be remembered by us for a long time. It was Saturday and in Baltimore we have prayer meiatings on that night.Immediately after the evening prayer which was led by me, myself and Delawereinvited downstairs to the fellowship hall' of the Slavic Church of Christ.When tlje door was opened we could not believe our eyes. - The hall was filledwith people: Church members,our relatives, people from the College, from theGuidance Committee and other friends.Tables were full of food - shouting, welcome and wishes for mir 2S thAnniversary. ^ ——But the greatest surprise was when through the back door came our daughter

Yvonne who flew from Las Vegas and presented us with flowers. The tears ofjoy were flowing freely.The whole evening was spent in greatest fellowship we ever had - good food,speaches, wishes, presents, etc.

We never expected this but it showed us how our people love us and ofcourse we love all of them very, very much too.It was just two days before my departure to Poland; we will cherish this ourwhole life.

It is great to be a Christian and to have such great family of God!

We received many good wishes from our Christian friends across America withcontributions for our special appeal toward work in Poland.Because of this we,jjere able to take over S, .12,000.J)0 toward Lord's work in

XP-land. -• .It was impossible to thank in person every contributor, so with this lines,we would like to thank you for cards, letters and money which were used exclusively for the work in Poland.

In September 1952 Paul enrolled in Milligan College and in 1953 he graduated withBA degree. While Paul was pursuing his studies, Dela was teaching German language atMilligan College.Paul and Dela have 3 children: Yvonne, a graduate of Milligan College, married to JohnMarr from Rosenburg, Ore., also graduate of Milligan in Christian Education, George,agraduate of Milligan and Andrew,a student at Milligan College.

In 1954 Paul and Dela were called by Eastern Christian Institute to establish the Department of Missions in order to train students for Missionary activities and to carrythe Gospel of Christ around the world.

GEORGE was born in Poland. His father was a ministerof the Church of Christ. In 1957 George was baptizedby his father and became an active member of theChurch in Warsaw.

In 1959 George came to U.S.A. under the sponsorshipof the Department of Missions to study at EasternChristian College and Lincoln Christian College. Hegraduated Lincoln with A.B. degree in ministry in1964

and in sacred music in 1965 and returned to Poland. In 1975 George received M.A. degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary and the same year became a naturalized citizen of theUnited States of America.

In December 1969 George married Vera Huk of Toronto, Canada, who's father is a Christianminister.

VERA has 3 years of training at Lincoln Christian College and Cincinnati Bible Seminary.George and Vera have one child Benjamin.After their marriage George and Vera spent approximately four years working with theChurches in Poland.

Here is abbreviated information about their work:

IN 1960 George was working with Paul Bajko among the Slavic people in Baltimore.

IN 1961 George assists Bro. Bajko in the Gospel Broadcasting ministry in Polish Ian -guage through the Trans World Radio Station.

1962 - 1964 while completing his education, George is preaching, teaching and singingat many churches, Christian Service Camps and Conventions in US. In 1964 at the NACCin St. Louis he sang the theme song of the Convention "Preach the Word" and "RING theBELLS", which became the theme song for his ministry.

HE recorded four records with Christian songs in Polish and English languages.

From Sunaoer 1965 George is working as a youth minister and Choir director in the Warsaw Church of Christ.

IN 1966 together with Kostek Jakoniuk and B. Winnik he started Christian Service Campin Poland and in 1971 he developes Christian Servive Camp program on the purchased groundsin Ostroda,

From 1971 George is working as assistant minister in the Warsaw Church, establishinga "Christian Youth Club"in Warsaw and organizing mission niusic groups in Poland.

IN 1973 he assists in starting a Christian congregation in Katowice.

1975 - 76 as American citizen George is working in Poland and Germany preaching andteaching in both countries, supplying churches in Poland withChristian literature.aBOLESLAW AND 2ENAIDA WINNIK

Bro. and Sister Winnik came to United States in 1967 towork with the Department of Missions.In 1976 Bro. and Sister Winnik became naturalized citi -zens of the United States of America.

Bro Winnik was one of the first converts in Poland anda long time co-worker with Bro. Jaroshevich.From 1934 Bro. Winnik together with his wife leads inYouth activities and musical training among Churches ofChrist in Poland. He was also involved in distributionsof Bibles and Christian lierature.For many years Bro. Winnik was a traveling evangelist.After World War II Bro. Winnik ministers for four yearsto a congregation in Olsztyn and serves on differentchurch commiccees in developing work of the Church ofChrist in Poland.

In 1950 together with many other Christian preachers hewas arrested and was kept in prison for three years.

After his release from prison Bro. Winnik lived in Warsaw where he served as a choirdirector and an evangelist.After arrival to USA in 1967 Bro. Winnik serves as Radio minister, he answers allcorrespondence connected with the radio ministry, sends out thousands of copies ofChristian literature which is printed by the Department of Missions. He is also acti -vely involved in the ministry of the Slavic Church of Christ in Baltimore.

THE Department of Missions is financially independent from Eastern Christian College and the work of the DEPARTMENT of MISSIONS is guided and supervised by the GUIDANCE COMMITTEE which consists of 12 members.All work connected with the ministry in Poland and USA, publications, Radio, buildings,Bibles, salaries etc., requires around S 100,000.00 per year.We thank God for all who are reached with the Gospel through our ministry and for allof our friends who faithfuly support us with prayers and financial contributions.

GREAT TRIP

TOO LONG AND TOO SHORT

Our last trip to Poland was in 1973. For the Polish Brethren, for our friendsand for the people who came in contact with the Gospel through Radio preaching,literature, songs, Bibles and letters it was too long to wait for our arrivalthis year.Immediately after my arrival May 26th I was plundged into a very heavy scheduleof activities: -

1. Meeting with all preachers from Poland in B.P., conferences with specialcommittees like: camp committee, visitation committee, radio committee andfollow up workers.2. Preaching every evening and twice or 3 times on Sunday.3. Individual conferences with preachers and workers.Then Dela arrived June 4 and without any rest we proceeded with our busy schedule in visiting people in their homes, speaking in Churches, attending rallies, more talks and evaluation of our ministry in Poland.

Just for a clear picture I will describe my first two days in Poland;After a sleepless night I arrived in Poland at 9 AM. The custom procedures lasted 2 hours. I was welcomed by the Brethren, had a short lunch and a long conference with few preachers. 15 minutes before 7 PM I was notified that thereis service that night and I am expected to preach. The service lasted till 9PM. After the service greetings, talks etc. and again conference with preachers till 2 AM. Next morning I got up at 7 AM. After breakfast: officialvisitations , lectureship at special Bible Class and at 7 PM another eveningservice. After service special supper with many guests and talks till pastmidnight.

Next day I felt bad and landed in the emergency room but after 2-3 hours inthe hospital, some medicine, etc. I was on my way to another city.Almost every day was like the first two but those days were too short forus and people in Poland. ,June 22nd we left Poland full, of ..joy, impressions, enthusiasm, decisions andideas. SPECIAL OCCASIONS

During our stay in Poland we took part in some special meetings like;

J)MINATION into the ministry of Bro. Paul Wrobel, a young, very dedicatedpreacher. - 1The ordination service lasted over 3 hours - I wish you could hear prayersof God's people in behalf of Bro. Paul, hear the messages describing duties,responsibilities and qualifications of a minister; deep sermons preached byBro. Paul and his father, who is also a minister, charge by Bro. KonstantySacewicz and prayers of ordination. There was constant sobbing in the audience, there were tears of joy. It was my great joy to lay hands on BrotherPaul, great servant of the Lord.

ni Wedding in Bialogard

The last Sunday of our stay in Poland I visited Bialogard where in additionto regular service I performed a wedding ceremony on a preacher's son. Thehouse of worship was packed and many people stayed outside - most of themnon-christians being present for the first time for such service. Theyheard the Gospel and were very impressed. Service lasted over 3 hours andreception 6 hours with special program.As result of that meeting and wedding people started to attend services regularly and are interested in the Gospel of Christ.

June,_-1.6th^e celebrated in Warsaw our WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. Because it was-Oil-Wednesday we planned a quiet celabration in a restaurant, but itturned out to be a big celebration in a church hall. Over 100 people camefrom all over Poland to Warsaw bringing food and sweets for that occasion.It started at 4 PM and lasted to 9 PM - greetings, speaches, flowers, special numbers, wishes, gifts etc.

Time flew so fast - nobody was tired, we were happy and excited.

OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS

1. The work, in Poland is going on and the Lord is blessing that ministry -souls are being won for Christ.

2. Older and younger preachers work harmoniously in advancing the cause ofChrist. '

3. Christian Service Camp is a blessing!- each summer many young people accept Christ.

4. Buildings which we helped to purchase or repair are in use all the timeand are a great blessing for congregations. We are in the process ofpurchasing another two buildings.

5. Radio ministry is very effective - thousands of people listen. It willbe developed more.

6. Songbooks, Polish magazine and literature bring souls to Christ and thereis a steady demand for more. People thanked us with tears in their eyesfor that precious material. We will print more.

7. For more effective evangelism we decided to provide 3 Mikrobuses each-oyer $ 2,000.00.

8. Preachers, Christian workers, Christians and recipients of the Gospelare grateful for the ministry of the Department of Missions and thankGod for the American Christians who contribute toward all phases of thework of the Department of Missions. They wish you God*s richest blessings.

These were the starting words of a letter written to us by a great Christianlady.

When we start to count our blessings there is no end. - The blessing ofsharing good news of Christ this past Sunnner in Poland, Germany, France,England, where one man was so touched by the Word of God that he offered to cover all travelling expenses, if I would only come back to England to preachthe Gospel for at least 2 weeks.

From Poland we receive many letters thanking us for our visit this summer andpraising God for all victories.One preacher,where I preached the Sunday before our departure from Poland andwhere I performed a wedding ceremony^writes: "In Bialogard from the time whenyou were here and that great service^many of our neighbours changed their attitude toward us. Each Lord's Day, and even Wednesdays new people attend ourservices. Children from our street attend Sunday School. Some of our youthattended Christian Service Camp. We trust that soon we will reap the fruitsof that great ministry you performed here. Thank you very, very much for material support and Christian literature. Yours, S.K."

And here back in U.S.A. we received many letters congratulating us to ourDouble Silver Anniversary and sending funds toward the ministry in Poland.

55 YEARS AGO

__ 55 years ago Bro. and Sister Jaroshe-vich landed in Poland and stood alone.

Bro. and Sister K. Jaroshevich penetrate the hearts of people.Bro. Jaroshevich and his faithful co-laborers worked day and night.Thousands of copies of Bibles and NewTestaments were given in the hands ofpeople. Polish and Russian magazines

were published, many different tracts were printed.Special courses were organized to train young ministers, song leaders and Sunday school teachers.

The Second World War in 1939 was a great |)low not only for Poland as a nation,but also for the Churches. Many ministers died and were killed and many churchbuildings were destroyed.Almost all literature and Bibles were lost, but the Church which was builtupon the Rock stood firmly.

After the war with the help of Bro. JarosI;ievich and American Christians ourremaining preachers once more took actioik and the work moved on.

In 1954 when the Department of Missions was organized, we got involved in thePolish ministry.From 1954 till the present day most of our time is dedicated toward the work inPoland and we can say with joy that much has been accomplished.

1. Many houses of worship were built and repaired.2. Many young men were trained for the ministry.3. Many thousands of Christian Literarure were published and distributed.4. Hundreds of songs were translated into Polish language and published.5. Thousands of Bibles and New Testaments were distributed.6. Twice a week the Gospel is broadcasted over short waves to Poland and

other countries in Eastern Europe.7. New Churches have been established.8. Christian service camp was build and each Summer hundreds of young

people attend it. Many responded to the Gospel invitation.9. Medicine and used clothing were sent to Poland.

10. 26 preachers receive help in their work for the Lord.

Today Bro. Jaroshevich does not stand alone. Although he is 87 yearsold and livgs alone with his wife in Va. Beach, Va., we stay withmany dedicated laborers in Poland proclaiming the Gospel of Christ andbuilding HIS Glorious Church.

"I would like to thank all of you foif the invitation so I could come to thiscountry and meet all of you and see Great America. I would like to convey to yougreetings from our preachers and workers in Poland. Special greetings from Bro.Sacewicz, Bro. Kostek Jakoniuk and from my wife. We thank all of you for thehelp which you have given to us and assistance. I was responsible for the literature distribution in Poland. We thank Brother and Sister Bajko for the helpin publications, especially for printir^g of song books and publications - theyare great treasures to all of us; Heavenly Sunshine, 1st and 2nd part /youngpeople know by heart all those songs/ and also "One Song" songbook, 1st and 2ndpart, also two cantatas; Life of Christ vis. and Book of Acts. It is impossiblein Poland to publish with color pictures - it was something new and it is spreading rapidly not only among our churcl>es but the greatest request is from Roman Catholic Church. They write us and ask for 5000 copies and are willing topay for them. We thank also for publication of Christian poems /two books/ andPolish magazine. These are requested by many people and we have to give onlysingle copies. We are able to receive everything through the Post Office legally, then our church in Warsaw is taking care of distribution of that literature to all Poland.

There are many places where Department of Missions helped build or refinishbuildings and property. We also express thanks for living-link support forpreachers, used clothing and medicine. We thank Department of Missions forcars which are used in the service to the glory of the Lord.We thank also for the help for Christian Service Camp and especially in helping those who would not be able to go otherwise.I am greatful that I am able to work with Bro. Winnik.I thank Bro. Paul Bajko for providing tape recorders which we use in our work.
