    had many special numbers. J.T.

a challenging message To Walk Hand in Hand With God .

    We had

    of

    in her history.

    He

    recalled the

    the i

    desire to

    be

    free

    of debt. This, coupled with

    the

    the

    giving of our

    American

    brethren

    who

    gave

    ge

    erously through

    the Department

of Missions, brought us to this glorious

    of burning

    the note which

    represented

    our

    indebtedness.

    He

    called

    the

    we

    thanking

    God for

    His

    TRIP TO POLAND

    BY

    DELA BAJKO

Our summer t r ip to Poland was beautiful and

    a t

    the same time heartbreaking.

Beautiful- because we could meet so many old friends and make so many new

friends, and heartbreaking because we did not have enough time to spend

    with them, or

    even

    to see everybody we

    wanted to

    see.

    I shal l

    never

    forget the

    time

    I

    spent

    In my home

    town, with

    my childhood

    frien ds, in

    my

    old

    home

    church.

    s my

    husband

    mentioned

    in

    his

    previous

    re

    por t my home

    congregation

    prepared for me a

    t ruly royal

    welcome . On Sa

    turday

    night

they had a special informal reception in the church when I

    could

    talk

    with everybody and get

    aqiulnted

    with

    a l l

    the

    new

    people,with the

cho ir singing sev eral numbe rs , a nd the youth group singing from

    the

    chorus

    books that we

    published.

    n Sunday

    during

the worship service th e young

    people prepared a

    special

    programs they were

    recit ing

    my poems

    and

    singing

    more songs

    that

    I

    translated with

    the accompaniement

    of

    the piano

    and

    a

    gui tar .

    They wanted to

    show me

    t he i r

    appreciation

    for our

    work,

    and

    how

    useful i t

    i s .

I t made me so happy to

    see

that our work is not in vain, just

    the

    opposi te

t s very, very useful and needed. I was so

    thankful

    t ha t

God gave me the Jo y

    to

see the r esu l t s and the usefu lness of our

    work.

During th is t r ip

    we did

    not have

    much

    time

    to

    spend

    with old

    fr iends

    and

    churches

    because

    we

    wanted

    to v is i t our

radio l isteners and people with

    whom we

    correspond for

    a

    long

    t ime,

    not

    knowing

    them personally . These were

    unforgettable

    experiences.

    s I Just mentioned, we knew a l l those people

    only

    from

    l e t t e r s

and we real ly did not expect such warm and

    s incere

    welcome

    I t

    was

    beaut i fu l

    They

    were

    so

    happy

    to see

    us .

    They

    gathered

    the i r

    whole

    families from

    near and

    far

    to

meet us. But - we did not have

    enough

    time

    fo

    them

    All

those people l i s ten to our

    radio

broadcast , they read our l i te ra

ture , we witness to them

    in

    our le t ters

    but

    they

    need

    personal

    contact

    wit

    Chris t ians ,

    and

    we could

    give

them only few hours of our time They could no

    bel ieve

that we were real ly leaving, when time for departure came. This wa

    heartbreaking . . . Our only

    comfort

was that we brought along some of our Po

l i sh brethren who got acquainted

    with them

and who wi l l be able

    to

    v i s i t

    them

    again

    and

t e l l them the Words of Li fe

    The time

    with

th e c hild re n in the camp was also great . But here we faced th

    same

    s i tuat ion :

    we jus t

    got

    a

    l i t t l e a
