We would like to use the last edition of our customer newsletter to thank you for the good cooperation throughout 2014.

For the last time we will present you details concerning B. Braun´s 175th anniversary.

Recently another milestone in our company history has been demonstrated. Our loca-tion retention agreement has been extended a second time until 2020. This agreement secures employees of B. Braun in Melsungen an employment for the next six years.

In a time of various trouble spots all over the world this promise is certainly not com-mon and offers all employees and their families an important feeling of job security.

I wish you and your family a relaxed Christmas time and a healthy and prosperous new year 2015.

Anniversary 175 years B. Braun Melsungen AG – Part 4/4

In order to complete the picture of B. Braun, we would like to add the missing puzzle section and present you the current part of our company´s history with the milestones of1990 – 2014.

As you can see by means of the essential milestones safety becomes more and more im-portant. Both, the state of the art IV solution container that offers safe and convenient application of all IV procedures from drug admixture to drug delivery and the safety in-travenous catheter that protects against needlestick injuries and related infections, prove this.

Automated infusion systems by B. Braun look back on a long tradition. The starting point was the invention of the first mechanical syringe pump for continuous infusion in 1951.All successor pumps combined high quality requirements with innovative solutions.

Automated infusion systems in clinical researchClinical research determines the effectiveness and safety of new treatment methods, such as new drugs. As you can certainly imagine, strict regulations have to be obeyed during the procedure of clinical trials. High-quality standards must be ensured in order to perform a safe and successful clinical trial. Automated infusion systems are used more often as they offer the advantage of a personalization to a certain clinical trial.
