Students and the staff members participated in this programme. The programme started at 7.30 am and continued up to 09.30 am. A number of programmes were conducted on this occasion such as Yoga prayer, yoga oath, Slogan Shouting and Art competition. The programme commenced with the yoga prayer recited by Smt. Anju Tale, and the students then Principal Sh.R.K. Sawhney addressed to the students and staff members, first of all he welcomed the yoga instructor Sh. Sudrashana, students and the staff members. He said that we must be thankful to Maharshi Patanjali for the great gift of yoga. No other world level celebration has gained as popularity as yoga.It is a callisthenic approach between mind and body, heart and soul. He said that yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day. With practice of yoga children get the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body and learn self discipline. He said that yoga provides a holistic approach to preventive health care and well being so we should make it as an indispensable part of our day today life. Then the yoga oath was taken by the students and the staff. The oath was administered by Head Master Sh. Rajbir Singh. Slogan shouting was also done on this occasion to promote the message of Yoga that Yoga is meant to bring peace, harmony, happiness, self discipline, good health and success to every soul in this world. Later an art competition was also organized with the same objective. Students and the staff members performed different yoga postures like Varikshasana, Bhujangasana, Trikonaasana, Uttaanaasana ,Bhadrasana etc. and finally ended with pranayama and meditation. Celebration of 2nd International Day of Yoga – A Report

The second International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in

Atomic Energy Central School No.2, Rawatbhata on 21st June 2016. Students and the

staff members participated in this programme. The programme started at 7.30 am and

continued up to 09.30 am. A number of programmes were conducted on this occasion

Sudrashana. Two other yoga teachers Mrs. Pratibha Dashora and Mr. Naveen also

voluntarily participated in the programme and guided the students to perform the yoga

postures correctly.The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks given by Vice

Principal Sh. P.Narasimman. He also urged the students and staff members to make

yoga as an indispensible part of daily life for a healthy life. Students were also given

refreshment after the programme.
