MIXED MEDIA AND COLLAGE WORKSHOP WITH ELSPETH McCOMBE Two day workshop: 12 - 4pm Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 February Create an abstract, semi-abstract or representational artwork drawing inspiration from works in the Chromophilia exhibition. Participants will use a limited palette of black and white plus one colour with a variety of painting and drawing techniques and collage. Cost: $120/$110 Friends. All materials provided. Using watercolour, participants will investigate how colours interact, and how to develop harmonious combinations to create a painting using a still from a movie or a music video. During the felting process wool fibres intermingle with each other causing exciting and unexpected blending of colours. Participants will make a felted vessel that combines the wool colours together. Draw inspiration from artworks in Chromophilia and make your own colourful patterns and designs that are embedded within the felt vessel. Cost: $100/$90 Friends. All materials provided.
