Alleluia! Christ is risen; truly, He is risen! That East-er greeting offers all of us hope, encouragement
and perseverance.
At this special time of year, let us witness Christ’s Resurrection
by bringing hope and encouragement to others.
Let us remember those of our neighbors who are hungry and in need, and consider sharing our many gifts with them.
One way for us to do this is by donating to the Catholic Ministries Appeal. This Appeal assists our Church in bringing hope and encouragement to
those in need in our Long Island community. Last year, because of you we were able to serve more than 600,000 people.

AAA Word From the Pastor Once again, please accept my sincere thanks to all our parishioners, friends and neighbors who worshipped at Holy Name of Jesus for Holy Week and the Easter Vigil and Easter Sun-day. As always, special thanks to all who served in a variety of ministries as Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, Greeters, Ministers of Holy Communion at Church and the nursing facilities, and to those who decorated the Church. Many thanks, too, to all in the Music Ministry - the Choir Members, Cantors and Musicians for sharing your gifts and talents. Please consider displaying the flyer of the Easter (Paschal) Lamb on your front door or win-dow of your home throughout the Easter Season. This Christian symbol is an excellent way for us to witness to our Faith and to Jesus Christ. I hope you noticed that the barren trees in the sanctuary are now in bloom with the leaves re-turned by HNJ and KCA parishioners. The leaves have a variety of sacrificial practice and penances performed during the Lenten Season. Thank you to all for participating in this spir-itual exercise during the Season of Lent.
This weekend, the Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday. In writing about this special celebration of Divine Mercy, Pope John Paul II wrote: "As a gift to humanity, which sometimes seems bewildered and overwhelmed by the power of evil, selfishness, and fear, the Risen Lord offers His love that pardons, reconciles, and reopens hearts to love. It is that love that converts hearts and gives peace. How much the world needs to understand and accept Di-vine Mercy! Lord, who reveal the Father's love by Your Death and Resurrection, we believe in You and confidently repeat to You: "Jesus, I trust in You, have mercy upon us and upon the whole world. Amen."
All parishioners are invited to a Holy Hour and Benediction this Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM. The Service will be led by Father Liam McDonald. Fathers Edmund Ani and Leo Song will as-sist at the Service and with Confessions. Confessions begin at 2: 30 PM.
Religious Education Classes resume Monday, April 29.
Thank you to those who have given a gift and/or made a pledge to the 2019 Catholic Minis-tries Appeal (CMA). We're at 58% of our goal which is a little ahead of last year. If you have not as yet responded, I hope you will do so in the near future. NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL AND EVERY GIFT is used for one of the diocesan ministries. If you have a particular ministry close to your heart, you can designate your pledge/gift specifically for that ministry. Please see the CMA info and response form elsewhere in this bulletin
Thank you to all parishioners who are making a concerted effort to be courteous and safe
drivers as you come down Carnegie Court to the Church. Similarly, the residents at Wood-
bury Meadows are also making an effort.

FOCUS: Let us call to mind that Jesus gave his life on
the cross for us. By doing this, may we enter worthily
into the celebration of these mysteries. In the first reading, the apostles continue Jesus’s saving work of healing the sick. In the second reading, we see the Lord walking among golden lampstands. He wants them to burn brightly. In the Gospel, Jesus appears and shows
that he has, in fact, risen. The Holy Spirit will help them
to carry on his work of revealing the Father. Published by Franciscan Media
