For many the appeal of Dust started when they saw one of the walkers for the rst time. Over the years
more vehicles have been added to the arsenal of each bloc, from the Wildre for the Allies and the
Horton for the Axis to the Karl Marx for the SSU, each vehicle brought something new and exciting to
the tabletop. However, something has been missing all this time.
The Dust Studio website has been taunting Dust warfare players with a range of Dust-48 models
without rules for game-play. No more! What you have in your hands (or on your screen) is the rst batch
of ofcial rules for these models. Not all Dust-48 models have rules yet and the missing models will be
covered in a future volume of the Dust Warfare Appendix, together with any new additions to the range.

A vehicle with this skill may be purchased by any
infantry unit including heroes as a transport. The
vehicle is treated as a support unit, however it does
not take up one of the platoons Support Unit
choices. The vehicle is not restricted to carrying
only the squad that purchased it, however, only the
squad that purchased it may begin the game inside
of the vehicle. This restriction does not apply if the
vehicle is purchased as a Support Unit, using one
of the available Support sections of the platoon.
The Medium Combat Walker M2-G also known as
the 'Barking Dog' mounts six M40 Recoiless guns
(Also known as Recoiless ries), large anti-tank
weapons using 105mm ammunition. The six guns
are all designed to be red at precisely the same
moment, delivering a devastating blow to any
enemy armor or fortication that stands in its way.
Due to the time required to reload the guns after
ring, the Barking Dog often relies upon the support
of other units during the reload period, using the
machine guns to deter enemy infantry from closing
in.
Most often, the Barking Dog is deployed to
platoons that are expected to face erce Axis
resistance and the crews of these walkers have
been known to stress their guns to the limit,
unleashing deadly salvoes against any enemies
who stand in their path.
While the original purpose of the M40 Recoiless
was anti-tank duty, Barking Dog crews and canny
Allied Commanders have learned they are also
effective in dealing with enemy infantry.
Axis and SSU Commanders alike have learned to
fear this deadly walker and the capabilities it brings
to the battleeld, often making it a priority target.
For the Allies, the Barking Dog is a sight much
beloved on the battleeld.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Barking Dog is available as a Support Unit to
any Allied Platoons that may eld Any M2 series
Medium Assault Walker as a support unit.
The 'Recon Mickey' known under the ofcial
designation Medium Combat Walker M2-H is a
walker that was designed and put into production
after Allied Command felt the need to have more
efcient reconnaissance soldiers. While the Recon
Boys of the Rangers and other divisions were doing
an admirable job, they needed a vehicle that could
help them do their job safely and operate with
maximum efciency and thus the Recon Mickey
was born.
After removing the turret from an M2 Series
Medium Combat Walker, allied engineers found
that the machine had gained tremendous agility
over the standard M2 but was lacking in armament.
To x this problem, multiple machine guns were
mounted on the Recon Mickey each of them
manned by a stalwart Allied Soldier who was
determined to deal with any enemies who came
down the barrels of his gun sights.
These machines are crewed by highly skilled
individuals who are capable of operating ahead of
the front lines to provide close-support for infantry,
reconnaissance missions, anti-air duties or even
providing precise targeting information for artillery
strikes.
The Recon Mickey is a versatile unit that is capable
of handling both enemy infantry and enemy aircraft
if required and is fast enough that it often can get
out of the line of re from enemy heavy armor
before they can even re a shot off, much to the
annoyance of Axis and SSU commanders alike.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Recon Mickey is available as a Support Unit
to any Allied Platoons that may eld Any M2 series
Medium Assault Walker as a support unit.
A platoon may purchase a single vehicle with this
skill using the Platoon Dispatch listed for said
vehicle.

The Medium Armored Recovery Vehicle M2-B
'Mickey ARV' is a natural evolution of design and
engineering philosophy, during World War II,
several vehicles of a chassis were often
designated as recovery vehicles and tted with
equipment appropriate to the job, whether it was
cranes, winches, dozer blades or other specialized
gear.
While the primary purpose of the Mickey ARV was
to recover damaged vehicles, perform eld repairs
and other tasks expected of the engineering corps;
it soon became obvious that this recovery vehicle
was more than suitable for operating on the front
lines. With its powerful turret mounted crane, the
Mickey ARV is able to lift the heaviest of vehicles
including heavy walkers or smash aside the most
heavily armed of enemy fortications.
The Mickey ARV is often deployed in support of
armored units where it can help to repair damaged
comrades and provide devastating close combat
support. If Man's best friend is the dog, a Mickey
pilot's best friend is a Mickey ARV by his side.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Mickey ARV is available as a Support Unit to
any Allied Platoons that may eld Any M2 series
Medium Assault Walker as a support unit.
The venerable Sd.Kfz 251 has been in service
since the earliest days of the war and even with the
introduction of the Axis Medium Transport Walker,
the ubiquitous Half-Track of the Axis forces has
r e m a i n e d i n c o n s t a n t u s e . T h e
schutzenpanzerwagen is one of many older
vehicles that have managed to stay effective even
as the war continues, remaining an extremely
efcient method of transportation.
While operating within its primary mission
parameters of transporting soldiers of the Panzer
Grenadier division and providing covering re, the
251 performs admirably and is likely only
overshadowed by the Katzchen APC which has
been in limited production by Axis forces and in no
position to replace this highly effective vehicle.
The 251/1 has been adopted for use by various
branches of the Axis forces including the
Blutzkreuz Korps; who have used them to great
effect in the deployment of Zombies and even
some Schwer platoons make use of these vehicles,
giving them an extra layer of protection as they
make their way onto the bat t leeld. The
SCHTZENPANZERWAGEN can be deployed to
almost any type of Axis Platoon and soldiers who
utilize these transports are often referred to as
Panzer Grenadiers. Allied and SSU Soldiers have
learned to respect this nimble light armored vehicle
and will often utilize captured models when given
the chance.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Schutzenpanzerwagen is available as a
Support Unit to any Axis Platoon and/or via the
special rule Panzergrenadiers.

The Sd.Kfz 234 'Puma' has been in service for
several years of the war and remains one of the
most effective armoured cars in use by any Bloc
during the war. The Sd.Kfz 234 Puma is much
beloved by the crews who man them and is known
as an exceptionally fast and agile vehicle, even as
many other vehicles have been phased out of use
this venerable armoured car has remained in
constant use.
Recently Axis Engineers have upgraded the Puma
into the Nordwind, replacing the weapon load out
with a single 2cm Flak Cannon and a MG44. With
this weapons load out the mission designations of
the Nordwind have not changed, providing
reconnaissance and engaging lightly armored
targets such as light vehicles and infantry in
support of the main force. In this role, the Nordwind
is incredibly effective both due to the speed and
range of the weapons, allowing the crews to call in
supporting re from artillery when heavier targets
are sighted.
The 234/1 is often deployed in support of almost
any Axis Platoon and they are often seen working in
concert with Sd.Kfz 251/1 schutzenpanzerwagen
where they help to support the transports and
troops inside, especially in areas a larger vehicle
cannot get to. The Nordwind is also an easy form of
long range anti-air support that can provide close
support for fellow Axis Soldiers, much to the dismay
of Allied and SSU Pilots who never even saw where
the ak re erupted from.
While a single Nordwind may not seem like much of
a threat and may be ignored, these small vehicles
can quickly prove deadly, especially when they
begin laying down long range supressing re while
calling in artillery strikes from Lothars and
Konigslothars. An entire squadron of Nordwinds
working together is a dangerous sight to both the
SSU and the Allies.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Nordwind is available as a Support Unit to any
Axis Platoon. It may also be selected in place of an
Axis Recon Grenadiers unit in any platoon section
that may eld Recon Grenadiers.
The Otto is a new addition to the Axis Forces
currently ghting on the Eastern front, however
proliferation of this unit and ret have spread to
other Axis forces who happen to be in possession
of captured SSU Walkers. The Otto is not an Axis
designed unit or an Axis manufactured unit, it is in
fact the result of the Axis forces capturing a whole
battalion of Brand New SSU KV-47 before they
could even enter the battle lines.
During the Sixth liberation of Kiev, an Axis armored
platoon of Hans' lead by Oberleutnant Otto Wilhelm
Von Helzig became separated from the main force
and ended up coming across an entire Soviet
battalion of KV-47 that were being prepared for
combat despite having just been completed in a
near-by factory. Quickly dispatching the SSU
soldiers that were guarding these vehicles, the
Oberleutnant and his men claimed these vehicles
for the Axis. Following the battle of Kiev, these
vehicles were retted with the Panzerfaust
Launchers and Grenade Launchers of the Hans,
turning them into an incredibly effective machine.
While these machines are in short supply, none can
deny their effectiveness as they use their weapons
load out to destroy soft and hard targets alike with
relative ease, the only problem being? These
walkers are rare and Axis commanders are not
often able to get their hands on them easily, having
at most one per platoon.
Axis Platoons who have an Otto in their ranks have
likely captured it from Soviet Forces themselves
and ret it or somehow managed to get their hands
on one of the original Ottos from the Sixth
Liberation of Kiev. Regardless of the source of the
Otto, is a much beloved Walker that brings the
repower of the Hans to the battleeld with heavier
armor then the average walker.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Otto is available as a Support Unit to Axis
Platoons that may eld Any Medium Panzer II
Series Walker as a support unit.

Engineering vehicles are often a requirement on
the battleeld, as conventional vehicles are often
not powerful enough to tow or recover other
vehicles of their class. As a result, there are often a
number of chassis set aside from any given model
of production vehicle that are retted for
engineering uses. This is how the Bergeluther was
born, designed both for use in recovery operations
and for assault operations where the presence of
battleeld engineers may be required.
The Bergeluther is put to great use by Axis Assault
Engineers who are able to advance into the thick of
ghting alongside their comrades and whither a
hail of enemy re while clearing out trenches,
bunkers or roads. The Bergeluther is both well
suited to the recovery of damaged vehicles and the
removal of such wreckage from the battleeld with
its massive dozer blade.
While not a combat weapon, in the hands of the
Bergeluther pilot, the Dozer Blade becomes a
formidable force to be reckoned with; whether it is
smashing down upon a group of unsuspecting
infantry and squishing them like pancakes or it is
slamming into the side of an armored vehicle.
Axis Platoons most often deploy Bergeluthers
when heavy enemy fortications are expected and
they also serve as a great tool for advancing forces
to take cover behind, using the massive Dozer
Blade to deect shots that would otherwise prove
disastrous.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Bergeluther is available as a Support Unit to
Axis platoons that may eld Any Medium Panzer II
Series Walker as a support unit.
The NachtJger or 'Night Hunter' is the personal
walker of Sigrid von Thaler. The machine was
originally a Jagdluther 75 but has been heavily
modied to suit her personal needs and
expectations; it has the latest generation of Vampyr
night vision and employs only VK enriched rounds
within its guns.
The NachtJger was used extensively by Sigrid
during the SeeLwe campaign and the unit was
given the exclusive camouage pattern designed
for the Axis' armored forces during their invasion of
Great-Britain. During the operation, Sigrid earned
more victories with this machine than any other
walker or tank commander involved.
NachtJger is a truly terrifying war machine that
nobody wishes to be pitted against on the
battleeld, one that is only seen when Sigrid Von
Thaler is present. For the Allies and SSU, the sight
of this walker and its dreaded pilot is enough to
break most normal soldiers.
PLATOON DISPATCH
A force that includes Sigrid Von Thaler may also
purchase a single Nachtjager walker. Nachtjager is
treated as a support unit by the rules for a section
type, however it does not take up one of the
platoons Support Unit choices.
The Schwer Panzerkampeur IV is one of the
most reliable and effective Axis walkers created to
date, the SPZ. Kp. IV-A 'Jagdluther 75' is the rst
of three variants of this chassis which include the
Wotan and the Flammluther. The Jagdluther 75 is
named as such due to the the pair of powerful 7.5
cm FpK 42 L/70 cannons mounted on each end of
the main body, these cannons are more powerful
then the rst 8.8s used on the Tiger Tanks and the
Ludwig Walkers making them an upgrade in terms
of armor and armament.
The Jagdluther is rivalled only by the Wotan and
the Konigsluther for tank hunting capability and
they are greatly desired by Axis Platoons. There is
however a rivalry between pilots of the Wotan and
the Jagdluther over which is the better vehicle, this
is a debate that has raged on since the design of
both vehicles and one that will likely continue to
rage on.
This debate doesn't carry over to the Allies and
SSU who have designated this machine a priority
target.
The Jagdluther is assigned to every type of Axis
Platoon, the only thing that presently keeps them
from replacing the Ludwig is the fact that there just
arent enough of these machines to go around. This
walker is often utilized to hunt enemy armor but if
no armored targets are present, it is also quite
capable of unleashing a torrent of repower against
enemy infantry.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Jagdluther 75 is available as a Support Unit to
Axis platoons that may eld Any Medium Panzer II
Series Walker as a support unit.

Axis eld Commanders are often outnumbered
but never outgunned. The whole Axis military
industry and engineers make sure that their
soldiers have the best vehicles when in battle.
Their latest creation is the already dreaded
KnigsLothar. With its very impressive dual triple
Nebelwerferrocket launcher, this walker can
destroy anything in mere seconds. This weapon
has proved its usefulness for years now. And with
such huge machines capable of carrying that
many, it's going to be efcient for many more years:
for the Axis, these weapons will win the war.
While the eld commanders of the Axis military are
often outnumbered, they are never outgunned. The
entire Axis military industry and engineers have
been dedicated to insuring their soldiers have the
best vehicles and equipment when in battle. One of
the most recent creations is the schwer Panzer
KampfLufer VI-EKnigsLothar which has
become dreaded by the Allies and SSU alike.
The Konigslothar is capable of destroying anything
in mere seconds whether it is an armored vehicle,
infantry platoon or even a set of fortications using
the dual triple Nebelwerfer rocket launchers that
are mounted on each side of this Heavy Walker; a
weapon that has proved its effectiveness for years
now.
A winch at the back of the Konigslothar is used by
the crew to reload one set of Nebelwerfers while
the other res, allowing the Konigslothar to lay
down a withering bombardment of re that not only
demoralizes the enemy but demolishes them at the
same time.
There is no doubt a machine like the Konigslothar
will not nd anything to replace it soon, some Axis
Commanders even believe that weapons such as
these will win the war. Unfortunately for the Allies
and SSU there are more of these machines being
produced every single day.
PLATOON DISPATCH
The Konigslothar is available as a Support Unit to
Axis platoons that may eld Any Heavy Panzer VI
Series Walker as a support unit.
