P R O F I L EI must start out by saying that I am called by God to good works...to build His Kingdom.Specifically, I am called to give a voice to those who cannot speak, for those who are in need of an advocate. Whether that be a child in need, a human traffic victim, or a family in crisis.I find joy in coming alongside a person or family and walking with them through a portion of their life journey. I love pointing them to the Christ and His power in their life and helping them see the God-given strengths they already possess.Initiating and maintaining regular weekly and long-term (up to five years) contact and support with families. Visits are in the home and each visit is at least one hour in length.Using interventions that are family-centered and strength-based and directed at: Establishing a trusting relationship. Assisting in strengthening the parent-child relationship. Assisting parents in improving their skills to optimize the home environment. Improving the family support system. Increasing the family’s ability to problem solve and assume the role of advocate for themselves and their children. Assisting the family in establishing goals and a plan for accomplishment of these goals. Assessment of the normal growth and development of the child.
