With thanks to all the lovely people who have donated items for the Raffle & Auction, the

fantastically funny team at The Hollywood Comedy Club and all of the guests who have

taken the time to attend this event tonight. Let’s have a laugh!

Miss Amy Pohl

Please help Amy to walk again and

recover from these debilitating illnesses.

Entering her 3rd year of teaching at Rugby Free Primary School, one day in December 2017,

something happened that changed Amy’s life dramatically.

From a failed cannula in her left hand, inserted to provide routine treatment for a nasty cough (adult croup), she developed

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

Amy has spent the majority of her time since then in hospital, most recently being on a neurology ward at UHCW for 7 months,

before being transferred to a private facility in April 2019. She has no use of her legs or left hand, has no sitting balance and suffers

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) too.

Transferring to STEPS rehabilitation, Sheffield has been a pivotal turning point on her

path towards recovery. This transfer was possible through securing some very limited

Government funding, with huge pressure from Amy’s family and her local MP, Mark

Pawsey.

STEPS provides a very comprehensive treatment regime 7 days a week and Amy is

making steady progress. It is clear, however, that this is just the start of a long

rehabilitation journey and, at approximately £5,000 per week, it certainly isn’t cheap!

We implore you to support our “Help Our Amy to Walk Again” campaign by donating

anything you can and sharing the campaign link on your social media accounts.

Let’s get Miss Amy Pohl better and get her back to the teaching job that she loves!
