Metasys AlarmsAlarms give notification of faults within the system such as• Pumps not running when commanded• Supply / return fans not running when

commanded• Temperatures higher than normal• Temperatures lower than normal• Pressure higher than normal• Pressure lower than normal• Status of Safety devices

Warning NotificationA warning is indicated by a BLUE exclamation

point

Alarm NotificationAn alarm is indicated by a RED exclamation point

Three Types of Alarms• Command / Status

o When the status of an item does not match the command

• Safety deviceo Low Limito High Pressure

• Analogo Temperature to high or lowo Pressure to high or low

Alarm SetupRight Click the item and select “Show Extensions”

Extension ScreenSelect “New” beside the alarm option.

Select AttributeThe correct item should already be selected. Press

“Next”

the system is not in use• Zone temperature alarms when the space is

The Auto-Shutdown Control point is the item used to turn off the alarms. Examples include:• Using main chill water system enable to shut

down high temperature alarms when system is off• Using VAV occupancy command to shut down

high or low temperature alarms when room is unoccupied

Dependent ListThe dependent list is a list of items with alarms that will have the alarms disabled depending upon the condition of the Auto Shutdown Control Point. Examples include:• High temp alarms on chill water system when

is unoccupied
