Its Holiday Bazaar Time! Every year funds raised by
the Bazaar help to finance special projects at WPC. Last
year's Bazaar proceeds paid to have the handicap door
button installed at our Harlow Road entrance. It takes
many hands to make the Bazaar a success. We need
people to help with set-up and clean-up, cashiers, bakers
for the Bake Sale and Cafe workers (Sign-up sheets are
on the bulletin board). We also need one person to take
charge of the Silent Auction. We are accepting items for
the Silent Auction at this time. Great auction items
include sporting event tickets and local performance
tickets. If you have any questions please call Teri Yerton
at 541-726-7009.
Treasure Shoppe– 8th Annual Bazaar! The
Treasure Shoppe for the Westminster Bazaar is
beginning to collect treasures. We will continue
receiving donations until November 12th. Please
consider your treasures that are in tip top condition
(nothing that needs repaired or cleaned). We also will
NOT be collecting clothing. ***Please DO price things
before you donate them and leave your donations in the
Southex of Westminster Church. If you need help
getting your things to the church, please call Lynn/Gene
Heinle (541)343-7949 or Linda/Bob Feuerstein
(542)465-1063
Parents Night Out! Drop your kids off on Friday Dec 1st from 6-9 pm. We’ll have an evening of crafts,
games, movies and popcorn, plus a pizza dinner! Please register your child, birth through 5th grade, with the
church office to reserve a spot for your child. This is an Advent gift from your congregation. Register by
emailing office@WPCeugene.org.
December 10th! Westminster Presbyterian Church will present “ The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”
during worship at 10 am, directed by Marcee Long and acted out by friends and members of WPC.
Following the play there will be an Advent Festival in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for fun Advent activities
and fellowship for all ages!
Fill Your Pantry! We are so fortunate here in Lane County. Many of our farmers
markets continue well into October or later. By stocking up on locally grown and
raised foods now, you can eat local all winter. One of our favorite ways to prepare for
the months ahead is at our annual Fill Your Pantry bulk buying event. This year,
Interfaith Earth Keepers are partnering with the Lane County Farmers Market to
co-host Fill Your Pantry at the Holiday Farmers Market on Sunday,
November 19th. This event is a fun way to stock up on local delights, meet our
farmers, rub elbows with other local food enthusiasts, and brush up on food
preservation and storage techniques. For best selection, we recommend pre-
ordering online October 27th - November 10th, @ willamettefarmand-
food.org. For some farms, this event makes a big difference in their financial
stability as it helps them extend and expand their late season crops. For consumers,
Fill Your Pantry offers a chance to stock up on a wide variety of long-lasting veggies, fruits, grains, beans,
frozen foods, meat, honey, and more. Support your local food system AND increase your winter self-sufficiency
at the same time.
Trunk of Treat 2017 was a huge success!
Thank you to all who volunteered and those who donated treats, we couldn't have pulled it off
with out you. Take a look at some of the pictures that were taken.
