Multi-Site Design O Members are located throughout the
state, not serving together at one organization or in one community

O Increase access to primary careO Provide health educationO Promote public and community
health workforce development by providing members with an intensive year of service and professional development in a health care setting
Professional Development Opportunities
O Monthly trainings provided by the Program, 4 of which are face to face. Members will also see each other during the group service project and a “closing ceremonies”
O Opportunities to attend professional conferences (WPHA or WPHCA Annual Conferences)
O Job shadowing opportunities either on-site or through another program host site
Member ExpectationsO Complete 1700 hours of service over
the course of the program year (36 hours/week)
O Attend member orientation and all program trainings and events
O Program is geared towards those who are considering a career in public or community health
O Members represent their Host Sites and the Program professionally at all times
Member BenefitsO Living allowance of up to $13,000O Health Insurance (if eligible)O Dental Insurance (if eligible)O Child Care Benefits (if eligible)O Education Award of $5,550 upon
completion of 1700 hoursO Loan forbearance and interest
repayment on qualified student loansO Year-long immersion experience in
public or community health
Minimum Requirements
To join AmeriCorps, members must:
O Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
O Have a social security cardO Have a high school diplomaO Consent to a state background check
and FBI fingerprinting
