OUR WORLD IS NOW REVOLVING AROUND DIFFERENT SOCIAL MEDIA SITES

When we wake up in the morning, we usually pick our phone first and see what are the latest posts and happenings in our surroundings.

While eating, doing school works, house chores or on our way to wherever we go, we cannot stop ourselves giving a time to check our social media accounts.

FACTS!

Social media is not just sharing information but also sharing attitude and behaviors.

Phone is already our necessity in our daily life. Around 600 million are Facebook users all

over the world.

It can refer to any social online data with the exception of email.

Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are commonly

used.

DISADVANTAGES• We spend most of our time

scanning posts and it makes us unproductive.

• We have limited privacy!

Before, researchers gather information on attitude and behavior through

questionnaires, interviews and observations but now they already

used the platform calledSOCIAL MEDIA

Social Media users are not only focusing on information and

communication but it also provide information on their attitude and

behavior – towards different views and policies.

This provides the researchers a huge opportunity to gather data than doing one on one interview or

observing which uses much time.

But researchers, on gathering information, have responsibilities that should be based on the ethical standard…

Researchers can access the data on social media sites because users agreed on terms on conditions which contained clauses on how one’s data may be accessed by the third parties.

But there are some extent that online posting might be public or private, depending on the online setting itself.
