Happy New Year Wingers!!

Hopefully everyone is safe, warm and hunkering down, to avoid COVID.

With that being said, we have decided to cancel our usual gathering this

month in favor of a ZOOM gathering. We will probably have a Zingo night

next month in addition to a Zoom gathering.

At least, we will be able to see and talk with each other and we also

practice social distancing.

We will be announcing/presenting our Couple of the Year and our

Individual of the Year. Also, we are going to present the mileage contest

winners, along with announcing Perfect Attendance Awards.

This is the perfect weather for snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling and

whatever your winter sports and interests are.

We hope to go bowling this year, but time will tell. We also have a full

calendar of rides planned and hope we will be able to do them.

Be sure to tuck your wings and other toys away safely for the winter.

Even I think my riding season might be over!!

We miss everyone!!

Glenn’s Points to Ponder

Which letter is silent in the word "SCENT", the S or the C?

Do twins ever realize that one of them was unplanned?

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe oxygen is slowly killing you and it just takes 75-100 years to fully work ?

********************************************************

Maybe you knew this & Maybe Not

A little about the Amazon

The Amazon River pushes so much water into the Atlantic Ocean, that more than one hundred miles out to sea off the mouth of the river, you are able to dip fresh water out of the ocean. The volume of water in the Amazon River is greater than the next eight largest rivers in the world combined and three times the flow of all the rivers in the United States

.Also:

The Amazon rainforest produces more than 20% of the world's oxygen supply.

Most of the generation of the 60+ year old went to public school but were also

HOME SCHOOLED in many ways.

I remember about 25 subjects that were taught to me by my parents.

The 60+ crowd can look back and remember, but the younger ones will not believe we were truly told these "EXACT" words by our parents. Here are a few lessons that we were taught at home. There will be more to come as we ponder and/or reminisce about the old school Home School.

My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE.

" If you are going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

My mother taught me RELIGION.

" You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

My father taught me about TIME TRAVEL.

" If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

My father taught me LOGIC.

" Because I said so, That's why."

My mother taught me MORE LOGIC." If you fall out of that swing and break your neck,

you're not going to the store with me."
