A TRI MONTHLY NEWS LETTER

( April, 2015 – June, 2015)

FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL

Plant a tree, be free

Dear All

HAPPY VANMAHOTSAVA!

I feel happy to introduce the first edition of our

school‟s newsletter for the session 2015-16.

We human being, are considered as the superior

creatures of the almighty. Nature and human beings

are inseparable, as the survival of living beings is

depended on the nature. But the modernization and

the so called development has adversely disturbed the

nature. Entire natural phenomenon is disturbed;

ultimately it is dragging the world towards

destruction. The future of the earth is in danger!

This month “July” worldwide we are celebrating

“Van Mahotsav”

As an aware human being, I appeal my Atmiyans to

contribute a bit for enriching our nature. Let us plant

a tree every year at least on our birthday and

nourish them. This one step of ours can make a

difference. Modern and luxurious life style doesn‟t

mean that we should completely depend on

devices/machines. Such life style reduces our

creativity, activeness, thinking skills. If you compare

the life expectancy rate with last 50 years, you will

find that it is decreasing day by day. You know why?

It is due to pollution, overpopulation, excessive use of

technology etc. Don‟t you think that somewhere we

are also the part and reason of this? I say yes, we are.

We all know we can‟t stop development, as we have

to compete and pace with the developing world, but at

least we can try to preserve the earth and nature.

Judicious use of resources, controlled use of

technology, simple life style, concern towards nature,

co-existence such small steps and initiative may result

in a great achievement!

I am sure, every one of us dream for a peaceful and a

prosperous life. So let us think differently and put our

efforts towards the same. PLANT A TREE every

year.

Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual

derived from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite,

symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.

Today it is practiced in various forms around the

world and continues to grow in popularity.

Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December

2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as

International Yoga Day by resolution 69/131.

Field trip- “A visit to a nursery” (02-07-15)

“Children desperately need to know - and to hear in

ways they understand and remember – for that there is

nothing than experiencing in the open”.

A well planned field trip offers students a pragmatic

learning experience. There is no other learning which

is better than seeing and doing hands-on.

It enhances their interpersonal skills as they learn to

interact with their peers, teachers and other adults

outside the realms of the regular classroom and also

increases children‟s knowledge and understanding of

the world in which they live.

The Pre–primary children of Atmiya Kids went for a

field trip on Friday, 02 July, 2015 and visited a

Nursery. A bunch of excited students were taken to

the nursery to show different kinds of plants,

saplings, flowers etc. The little ones were raving to

get on to the bus and en route to the lush green

nursery and they were excited to see the variety of

sapling, trees and blooming colorful flowers.

The vast expanse of greenery was an open invitation

for the little ones to let loose and go traipsing all over

the nursery. They were ecstatic to be one with nature

and had a gala time playing various games amidst the

pruned greenery. It was a tough task for the teachers

to keep up with the energetic students who were

spread all over the place enjoying in the lap of nature.

Their curiosity knew no bounds. Everyone had so

many questions to ask about the different trees

sapling and flowers. This trip around the school gave

fair idea to the children about school environment

and code of conduct they need to follow. Children

had great time and fun learning many things.

TEACHER’S CORNER

Problems faced by the teachers

in present era

Teachers have to face a lot of distractions in

class room daily. They may have to deal with

uninterested students or may suffer from

burden in absence of parents support. Young

children often show an ignoring and

neglecting behavior as they do not know the

importance of education. Such students are a

real challenge for teachers.

Disrespectful behavior of teenagers is also a

problem faced by the teachers. Technology

has become an essential part of education but

the students are misusing computers for

personal purposes. Sometimes teachers are

afraid to discipline students because of risk of

lawsuit if they fail to handle the situation

correctly.

So teachers have a great responsibility and to

meet this responsibility, teachers need help

and support .parents and school administration

should communicate properly with teachers

for betterment of students and class discipline.

K. Vanaja

(Faculty of Maths)

Problems faced by teachers in

modern education era

There are many academic, behavioral

problems and other social problems that

present education masters are suffering from.

John Dewey says that school is a miniature

form of society. It means that school is the

second home where a child carries his or her

habits. The child expects that the society

should appreciate him or her and demand for

the same regard that he/he got in society. So to

space up with all these, present education must

be practical and real. If a teacher is not well

acquainted with psychology of child, then

problems are sure to come. Other hand, there

is negligence attitude of parents at the

beginning of the child‟ studies due to small

age as well as burdensome point.

As a result, the goal of qualitative education

is not achieved. The concentration power of

pupils is reducing day by day due to adaptive

notion towards social networking its. Even,

polices which are put into force are not

properly implemented. Some common

problems are time managing, planning work,

paper work and many more. But it depend

on the teacher how she wants to carry out her

work. So, teacher‟s attitude may affect the

education.

THREE WISHES OF MY LIFE

Brinda Somani of IX A, SAYS……

There are many persons who will be having

wishes to fulfil in their life since childhood.

dreams to fulfil.

people. All should have equal importance as

God has made this world equally for

everyone.

My second wish is for myself i.e. I want to

become a successful person in life and I want

going to share my three small wishes with

you.

Firstly, I want to become a great person so

that all others will show love and respect

towards me.

My second wish is that each and every child

my great achievements in the life as a doctor.

Harsh Dev of VIII B, says………

My first wish is to get back my childhood. I

really miss my tension free life because of

extra studies, activities and burden of

expectations. I want to be away from the

competitions and stress of today‟s life. As I

am sure that my first wish will remain as

dream itself, I am going with my second wish

i.e. related to my future and I want to become

a teacher. They help in building the future of

nation. I also wish to give my contribution

towards this.

My third wish is to become a scientist,

because scientists always try to invent new

things and I am very much excited to see and

learn new things in my life.

Sakshi Ram Vishal Dubey of 6th

A, says…

Turn your dream into wishes, your wishes into

goals,

your goals into reality and your wishes will

come true.

The first wish of mine is that I want to become a good

human being or a social worker. My second wish is

that I want to become a teacher as teacher is the most

powerful person, she/he can create or destroy. About

my third wish I should say that it‟s my pray to God

that always keep my parents healthy and happy as

they are the persons who try to make all my wishes

true.

Kshirsagar of 6th
