Effect of Speed: Double the speed, four times will be the

braking distance. It would be difficult to stop the vehicle

in emergency circumstances.

Effect of Load: Heavy vehicles are designed to perform

best only when properly loaded. So empty vehicle requires greater

braking distance.

Section 134 of the MV Act casts an obligation on every driver/owner of a vehicle involved in an accident to shift the injured to the nearest hospital/medical practitioner.

The major issue identified in the process is the Parking problem. The indiscriminate parking of vehicles on the road side not only reduces the carrying capacity of roads but creates chaos and congestion affecting safety Many big shopping complexes do not have cellar parking; and those who have cellar space , are using it for commercial purposes throwing the parking demand generated by them on to the streets The road side shops attract lot of traffic but they do not have enough set back from road to accommodate the parking of their customers. The customers are forced to park their vehicles on the street
