Base Station Configuration Flow
Starting the EMS Client
Creating an NE Agent
1. Right-click the root node of topology tree, and from the prompt drop-down menu, choose Create Object > BaseStation > Multi-mode > MO SDR NE Agent .
2. On the Create MO SDR NE Agent interface, input the related information and click OK.
Starting an NE Agent
Creating a SubNetwork
Creating an NE
Configuration Operator and PLMN Double-click Operator or PLMN node, set the operator and PLMN
parameters.
Creating Equipment – BBU Boards
The device node is automatically created on the Managed Element node tree when creating NE. Only one device node can be created on one NE.
Double-click the Equipment node to display the Rack Graph window.
Creating Equipment – RRUDouble-click the device nodes under each RRU board to perform modification or creation operations on RRU devices, including PA devices, Tx devices, Rx devices, AISG devices, optical port device, and dry contact devices.

Data Synchronization
After users configure an eNodeB in the network management system, the configuration data is only saved in the database of the back-end network management system. Users must perform synchronization to update the configuration data of the front-end eNodeB to validate the configuration.

Management tab,
click on the
performance

neral tab, set the
parameters.
3. Click OK.
Querying Performance Data by Realtime
Creating an Index(1)1. On the menu bar of the
client window, click Performance > Counter And Index Management.
2. Expand the Resource Type tree in the Model Management pane to find the measure object you want.
3. Click “+” before the measure object node, right-click the Key PI node, and then click Create Index on the shortcut menu.
4. On the Basic Information tab of the Create Index dialog box, enter the index name in the Name box and other information in the Description box.
Creating an Index(2)
5. Select NE Type and MO Type from drop-down box.
6. Select the format of the index value from the Display Format drop-down list box according the index type: "Integer“, "Float", "Percent" or "Boolean (1/0)“.
The following introduces the constraint relationship between index type and value format:
Key PI : Integer , Float , Percent or Boolean (1/0). Ordinary PI : Integer , Float or Percent . Statistics PI : Boolean (1/0).
7. If “Float” or “Percent” is selected from the Display Format drop-down box, set the format in the Format box further.
8. Enter the exception value of the index in the Index value box, which is the calculation result when the denominator of the index formula is zero.
9. In the Create Index dialog box, click the Index Formula tab, and then edit the index formula.
Creating an Index(3)
Creating an Index(4)10. In the Create Index dialog
box, click the Preset QoS tab, and then select the direction, set the thresholds and corresponding deltas.
11. Click OK, The system judges the validity of the index formula.
If the formula does not comply with the specification, a message will pop up to prompt the error.
If the formula is valid, the system prompts the successful creation of the index and allocates a unique ID to the index. The new index appears in corresponding index list.
Creating a Threshold Task(1)
1. On the menu bar of the client window, click Performance > Threshold Task Management.
2. Click on the task management toolbar.
3. On the Threshold Task tab of the Create Threshold Task dialog box, select the NE type from the NE Type drop-down box and select the MO type from the MO Type drop-down box.
4. In the Threshold Index area on the Threshold Task tab, click the Add index button to open the Select dialog box.
5. Select the index you want to use, and then click OK.
Creating a Threshold Task(2)
6. In the Threshold Index area, select the counter (or index) and then click the Modify index button.
Creating a Threshold Task(3)
7. set the thresholds and deltas (that is, hysteresis values) corresponding to four different severity levels, enter other information, and then click OK.
Creating a Threshold Task(4)
8. On the Location tab, set the collection location, including the Monitor Level , Wildcard Level , NE Location and MO Location.
Creating a Threshold Task(5)
9. On the General tab, set the general information of the threshold task according to the instructions.
10. Click OK.
