Introduction
• Break Students into groups (4-5students) to research one historical timeperiod
• Introduce project research - teachermodeling and introduction to criticism
Research and Development• Each group will be given one era, and must:
– Find 3 adds (from any media) and answer these questions– Explain what was typical or different about ads from that era– Explain how it reflects the times in which it was made

Project-
• Each group must make a representativeadvertisement to present to the classusing what they have learned. It must:– Be of good quality– Be accurate to the time period researched
• Technology used• Methods of “selling” employed• Reflect the society of that time period
Presentations• Each project will be presented
to the class.• Each group must present-
– Market research- what wasgoing on in that time periodhistorically, what type ofproducts were offered, andhow were they sold?
– Product design- what typeof product would youintroduce? What would beyour target market? Howwould you convince peopleto buy your product?
– Your ad campaign, explainhow you designed it.
